This kid has a Dynex television and he wants money over title chances.

If this is Dragic's wishlist, he is looking to get paid. Wining is not his priority.

Unless Rockets are going to offer him the max or close to it (very unlikely they are going to), they should obviously stay away. He is going to bolt in the summer to whoever offers him the max.

I have a feeling Rockets know Dragic is looking to get paid which is why insider info says that they are not really going after him and are looking elsewhere.

I like Dragic but not at max.

Ok, thx, but no and bye.

Please, Harden rejected a below max contract and left a Finals team to go to a question mark in Houston. Gogi wants to prove that he can lead a team also. Is that wrong?

It's wrong when he had that in Phoenix when he got there 3 years ago. And well he is not that guy.

Harden was an unknown commodity. Dragic is known. He is not about winning so much as it seems he is about the money with that list of teams.

Dragic's camp has to be angling for a max contract. That's the only thing to take from this Woj bomb.

I could see Dragic being bitter at HOU for how we opted for Lin. That offseason very well have cost us a spot on Goran's "preferred list". if he feels disrespected, that could definitely change the landscape of us getting him. Who knows. Its all speculation.

Woj is just an outlet for some of these teams. They tell him what they want the media to spread, a la Suns MGMT being intent on keeping/maxing Goran.

Wouldn't be surprised if some agents were angling this same Woj bomb, just trying to keep Goran's max prize in play.

Guaranteed that Phoenix leaked those teams to Woj and Stein to get the Rockets to amp up their offer. 10000000000%

    1. He can't lead a team on his own.

    2. If Knicks, Lakers, and Heat are his primary teams he's still not THE guy (except sort of in LA with Kobe on his way out, but they'll still be trying hard to find a number on guy such as Love).

But this would seemingly do the opposite. If the Rockets have no chance at keeping him they are smart enough to not go all in with players+picks to get him just to lose him.

The ONLY way is if the FO feels they are just that piece away from a 'Ship right now. And with the question of D12's knee looming, it's doubtful they are that certain.

    Knicks have nothing to trade.

Lakers have a couple of strong assets (picks, Randle) but nothing they would be willing to give up because they can just out right sign him in the off season.

Miami has a Deng, and not much else.

Rockets still have the highest bid with just Jones and Pelicans pick, but no guarantee he would resign.

Sucks ass, please tell me Lawson is available.

IF he is only looking for a max contract, why not stay in Phoenix and take the 5 year max? I think he is looking for the money, to lead a team (questionable if playing with Melo, Kobe, Wade/Bosh), and to play on a contender.

No matter what comes out, Houston is still the smartest choice for him if Morey is willing to offer him the max.

Sounds like the concern from Dragic's camp is three fold-

    A. They are probably concerned Morey and the Rockets wont offer the max in free agency to retain
    B. He wants to go somewhere he can be a SUPERstar. Not just a star (be careful there Gogi. Go ask Melo about that whole sole superstar in LA/NY thing).
    C. He wants all the touches he can get, and he knows James Harden will make him a secondary option.

    ....

Honestly if this is really his priority then do we REALLY want this soon to be 29 year old guard who has had ONE season played at a sorta-all-star level who is looking for max money, and wants badly to be a superstar of his own team?

For a team looking to win a title now around James Harden and Dwight Howard, but also be able to reload talent around Harden post Dwight, it might do more damage than good to even touch that situation with a 10 foot pole. The PG spot is ripe with talent, and other options will come along that fall into the TEAM concept. I'm not going to lose sleep over Gogi as big of a fan of his I am.

Trade for him anyways. We're trying to win THIS year, and we can't do it with Bev as our starting point guard. Give em the NOP pick, K Pap and Shved. They got no leverage anymore.
