Did you listen to how over-the-top the broadcast crew was in hyping Curry the entire weekend? It sounded like the league had already decided who the MVP is going to be. That said, Curry did look pretty great assisting Harden, and he did win the three-pt contest. He's super talented. Harden's near triple-double was understated. I didn't even realize he was that close until they pointed it out towards the end of the game.

Biggest revelation of Harden's performance was 0 flops for FTs. I didn't think he was capable of producing without exaggerating contact and bowling head first into his defenders.
James Harden got his team 19 pts from his assists 1 gasol 2pt layup 2 gasol 2pt jumper 3 curry 3pt 4 westbrook 2 pt 5 curry 2 lay up 6 klay 3pt 7 curry 3 pt 8 cousins 2 pt 29pts + 19 points from assists = 48 pts Harden only took 16 shots, 69% FG% Westbrook 28 shots, 57% FG%
Yeah they couldn't stop sucking Lebron off, when Harden was freaking outplaying him. Without forcing it either.
I told my girlfriend about Harden's incredible performance and how he didn't get the MVP honor. She looked at me and said, "We need to file a police report. Harden was robbed." I knew I loved her.
LOL... I would've used a totally different analogy, one that is a lot more unflattering... ....... ....... .......
yup Westbrook broke most point in a half too last time Glen Rice did it he got the MVP over Jordan triple-double performance
It was when T-Mac went nuts in 2006 (when it was here at Toyota Center). He easily would have won ASG MVP, but the East won the game 122-120. 2006 NBA All-Star Game T-Mac had a game-high 36 Pts (on 15-26 FGs overall)
Max contract anyone? He's too expensive but would be perfect. Maybe for that purpose Les says screw it and pay the money. Or you be smart and find a cheaper player with similar attributes? It's not my money so either way something needs to give.
http://cdn16.castfire.com/audio/303...d32fd78462d21a9&referer=http://grantland.com/ I believe I heard them day the Lowe part of the podcast was recorded on Friday or Saturday of this weekend. "James Harden has surpassed Davis as my MVP" - Zach Lowe The both had some very nice things to say about James. Also thought it was funny that Bill mentioned that Westbrook didn't want to do an interview with them and he thinks it's because Grantland brings up the Harden trade too much.
This is a bit of foreshadowing for ASG to come for many years. Westbrook will win MVP every year the West wins this game because the only player he will submit to and pass the rock to is Durant. Other than that he will ball hog more than Kobe and that's saying too much. Couple that with the ASG being the ultimate exhibition game and he will average at least 25 shots per ASG for the forseeable future. The NBA is now taken over by young stars who doesn't have seniority over him so I'll go out on a limb to say he officially has no one to answer out there, unless Lebron comes over to the Western Conference.
Don't Forget, FWIW, that Jeff Green was part of that tandem (drafted in 2007 along with Durant). He was drafted 5th overall by the Celtics, but was traded to then-Seattle for Ray Allen.
Maybe they shouldn't give out an MVP award at the All-Star game so fans don't have to sit through two players going out of their way to pad their own stats like what happened last night with Lebron and Westbrook. Every time they touched the ball I knew they were going to shoot it. With the format of the All-Star game where no one plays defense any of the guys out there on the court could have replicated Westbrooks numbers if they wanted too. Watching him and Lebron play so selfishly took away from my enjoyment of the game.
