it's hardly a national scandal (although it's great twitter bait) and not unprecedented but 12yr old kids in advanced levels of sports fully understand eligibility. No doubt it was orchestrated by the coaches and condoned by them, but the kids knew too. Heartbreaking for them....but they'll get over it.
