I was at the NBA's rithm and rims thingy in NYC today. It was pretty cool. There was a 3-pt shoot out from NBA range (i had the high score when i left ), and a dunk contest on 8 ft rims. Once I was done with the shoot out, I went over to catch some of the dunk contest. The host of the contest looked very familiar. I found out when the contest was over that is was "Damon Jones from the Sacramento Kings!". I walked over to him with my girlfriend. We were both decked out in Houston gear. the rest went something like this: ME: Damon! DJ: hey. :::shoulder hand shake thing::: ME: you gotta come back to houston man we need a backup........ DJ: ......awwwwww man (then whispered) i would love too, you know i stay there. ME: i know, just saying, we would all like to see u back there. DJ: haha, me too, thanks man. thats it. sorry, no pics. i did tell him about clutchcity, so if you're reading this damon come home!
didn't we pretty much release him because he was too good. like rudy knew he could play minutes on some team and didn't want to do him a disservice by sitting him with a fake injury here. too bad though because even though he's more of a shooter i can't imagine he'd be worse than mooch was last season. man rudy is a class guy though.

well they were announcing him as damon jones from the kings, and he was wearing kings gear. i guess he didnt want anyone to hear that he would love to be in houston.
