Is it even possible for for us pick them up should they be waived/bought out? I hate saying or thinking it but we will be lucky to have howard back come playoff time.

How about someone younger, that can still play and doesn't have a contract through the roof

OP said SHOULD THEY be bought out. So, hypothetically they could sign with us for vet's min.

    Not KG.
He will ruin team chemistry with his insane yapping and irrational hatred of all things.
Let the psychopath ruin some other team.

Neither. They're both power forwards. We have 3 right now on the roster with D-Mo, T-Jones, and Smith.

We wont be taking their contracts, should they be bought, out or waived. Noone will pick them up on waivers due to their contacts it would be a josh smith type move. Amare is avg 12 and 6 he can still play and KG is avg around 7 and 7 they are not long term solutions by any means but just help while dwight is out. Who else is out there that we qouldnt have to trade for? I for one would love to have both just so dallas and gsw cant get them.

KG will go to the Clippers and team up with Doc.
    Amare will go to Phoenix.

Neither would be interested in coming into the log jam PF situation we have here.

Amare has expressed an interest in going to Dallas.

Dmo is gonna have to be our center for now like it or not. Amare can play some center too. Both are better than dorsey.

KG could be bad for locker room so maybe not him, but he is a vet wit playoff experience. Amare has been nothing but a class act. If I had to choose Amare would be the guy.

I would cut Dorsey if Amare agreed to come here. We could offer him as much playing time as anyone else, and we're higher up on the list as far as seeding goes vs Phoenix, Clippers, Mavs.

I think he would actually work really well on our team. Would pair up nicely with Josh Smith or Dwight Howard.

KG is obviously not going to join this team - he hates Howard, and I assume he doesn't take well t Harden's theatrics - and I'm not sure he'd join anyone but the Clippers.

I'm not sure if there's enough shots if we got Amare. Having him and Josh Smith on the court together is a scary thought...

I could, however, see KG coming here and finishing his career off with McHale. I just think KG is kind of sentimental in a weird way. Remember when McHale coached against Boston after his daughter passed away? KG was so emotional seeing McHale. They are very close so I could see him wanting to come here and help McHale get a ring before he retires as a player. I know that he hates Howard but I think KG is old school and doesn't hold grudges with people he gets into fights with. I mean, look at Shaq and Barkley. They are best buds now but the fight they had was much worse.

I dont think amare would require alot of shots, hes on the back end of his career and I think he will take whatever role he is given. Hes been nothing but a class act with NY if that means anything.

I never even thought about mchale and KG'S history but that makes alot of sense. I think alot of KGS "hatred" towards dwight is just part of his trash talk image ala gary payton its just part of his game to get in guys heads. KG is a pro even if he despises howard I strongly believe he can put all that behind him, its not like he's gonna be playing with him very long.

KG is still a good rebounder, solid defender.
If he wanted to play the rest of the season at the vet minimum (meaning he wanted to fit in behind Dwight), then I am struggling to see the harm? He can play the backup 5 spot better than Dorsey can't he?

If KG were bought out I would be all in on him without thinking twice. Toughness is hard to find.
