So for those getting this, what do you do for your regional sports? In this case, Astros and Rockets.

I use Ballstreams in conjunction with this. Any game on TNT or ESPN, i use Sling as it looks better

I have had sling tv for a few days now and today is the first day i have use it more than 30 min and that's only because the Rockets are on TNT. I don't think i will keep it pass the 7 day free trial.

I might keep it awhile until I can find a friend or family member that will lend me their Comcast credentials for cheaper fee.

So you guys don't think sling is worth it? Is the experience cumbersome?

Worked fine for me until the fourth quarter of the Suns game. Then it was terrible, even around midnight for Inside the NBA. Their support has acknowledged the issue via Twitter but it was really pissing me off. Had to switch to Ballstreams feed last night

When you guys say it is buggy, does that mean the stream is laggy or is the interface slow to respond?

Stream was laggy. Interface is great and very speedy on my Roku 3.

Only had a few hiccups but I was able to watch the entire game with barely any issues. Oddly enough I tried to watch for a little bit via the TNT app and it kept crashing on me. 1st half of the game I mirrored from my nexus 7 to chromecast in the living room, then I switched to the roku 2. That's where I had a few hiccups where it would buffer a bit. Last 6 minutes I watched on the nexus 7 straight w/o issue.

i have a LG smart tv but i dont have a way to watch slingtv on my tv at the moment - there is a app coming soon it appears for the LG smart tvs - what are you guys watching sling on? Right now I am just using my iPad and it works but I do want to watch stuff on my tv if possible. I dont have a Roku and its unfortunate that there isnt a ps4 app (nor does it appear that there will be one soon since they just announced a Xbox One app)

is it worth the money to spend to get a roku? if so what type of roku?

I had the same dilemma. I found a roku on Craigslist for $25 . It works great. Whenever the app comes on Xbox then I'll use it. For now to get it on the big screen it's worth $25. I got a roku 1

For those that plan on signing up for Sling here is a pretty solid promo. Free fire stick or roku stick or 50% off on fire box or roku 3 when you sign up for 3 months of sling.

Any suggestions on which device to get? I'm leaning towards the roku 3 because I want that private listening feature.
