Thanks for the laugh, lol! It is sad to see how far Bev's stock has fallen though. I still love the guy but its becoming painfully obvious he is out of his element being a starter in this league.
I don't want to trade Bev in a package for Ty Lawson. Bev would be a good backup 1, if we got a starter in his place. His heart and courage can't be replaced.
It isn't that Patrick Beverly is without value, but as people say, he's given too big a role and too many minutes. So sorry, but his basketball IQ is virtually nil. (He even says he doesn't study opposing players' tendencies.) And his defense just isn't so great. Maybe he'd be better once playing fewer minutes. Please, Daryl Morey. Rectify our PG deficiency.
That's what he gets for dissing K-Pop when breh was trying to interview him. Also he needs to comb his hair.
I remember hearing that quote maybe around the playoffs last year or against OKC, and scratching my head about it. He doesn't have to have Battier's treatise of defense, but ignoring film study doesn't make sense either. If he hasn't worked on his shot enough to improve or studied his matchups to make up for his declining performance, what is he working on? I only say this half joking, because he better be doing film work if even a little bit by now.
We need a PG that can share play making responsibilities to keep defenses off balanced. That sets the table for Harden when he is on the ball and keeps the Rockets from being one dimensional. Bev is a good Backup, but a NBA starting PG has got to be able to penetrate the Defense especially in the playoffs
