So why are we refusing to post up DMo?

 

JB:

Effort needs to change
Commitment to what we're doing
Need to be more physical
Need to be committed to playing defense

We want to run and push them. 24 minutes, plenty of time, got to get stops and push in transition.

Ariza and Harden are the only 2 players working hard to get team mates shots

 

I still think the Rox have a good chance to win the game but definitely some concerns from the first half.

 

I count two, maybe three teams in the WC that have a worse starting PG than we have. Lakers and the Jazz.

 

Harden has a quiet 20 but he is about it for us.

 

Also Portland blew a huge lead last night to Dallas. Just need to get down on D

refusing ? i think Portland are playing that good of defence that he has no room to move

 

Well, it's not like we can play with LESS effort... right???

 

terry and jones aren't giving us anything, and dorsey cripples our offense like no other nba player can. mchale has an extended bench full of shooters and passers. let's hope he expands the rotation in the second half.

 

Why are we not trying to feed DMo?

McCollum going nuts is unforgiveable. Blake getting by Harden for easy layups is also unforgiveable.

Everybody has to stay in front of their man. POR bigs can shoot from the perimeter. Don't expect help.

 

Yep. And I'm getting sick of it. You're not gonna have a great shooting night every game. But there's no excuse to just stand around on defense and give no effort. The Blazers are getting easy layups and wide open 3's.

The Rockets have avoided any 3-game losing streaks this season(and almost did all of last year), and for that they deserve props. But they also have trouble putting together long winning streaks(at least since the 6-0 start) because they get lazy and complacent once they've won 3 or 4 in a row.

 

this is a game where we really miss dwight's presence inside.

 

Papa would really help us out this game I feel, we need to go small because we can't play bigger than this team with Dwight out any ways.

 

You've gotta add the "Yeaaah" in front of everything JB says

 

If we still play Bev and Dorsy at the start of 3rd quarter, this game will be over in advance!
