    Cool, I'm glad to see TV going this way.

    Honestly, I probably watch more TV on my tablet via the xfinity app than I actually do on the tv / projector.

    So for sling, Netflix, and Hulu it comes out to roughly 36 bucks. Is that still considerably cheaper than cable or satellite? I haven't had either in years so I don't know.

    Tested it on my phone and you can mirror your screen to the Chromecast if your phone supports it. The navigation buttons don't go away so that's a bit annoying.

    I pay about $110 a month for a midgrade Dish package with HBO and Cinemax. Without the two, I'd pay about $90. I have one DVR, but it's not the top of the line versions... They'd cost me more.

    While this is COOL to have: let's just say this ain't really any cheaper than what you'd be paying for with a traditional cable or satellite subscription.

    I'm paying for:
    1. Hulu - 8.99
    2. Netflix + DVD - 20.00
    3. Internet - 40.00
    4. Sling - 20.00
    5. HBOtoGO - 15.00 (probably)
    6. League Pass - $150.00

    What is that like $104.00 Base. 254.00 with League Pass

    The biggest benefit for me is more the flexibility to watch things when I want to watch them. I also get MORE, like a dvd subscription. The internet. Etc. But it is still high dollar.

    How is internet even considered in the calculation? Its pretty much default in both scenarios. LP cost should be stated per month.

    8.99 + 20.00 + 20.00 + 15.00 + 12.50(LP) = 76.49

    I'd say that's cheaper than most providers

    I pay $100 per month with Uverse. I subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime anyway.

    Sling- $20
    Ballstream- $8.33
    MLBTV maybe- $10.75

    Now how to watch NFL? Does the CBS and Fox streaming apps show the games?

    I'm looking at saving like $50 per month.

    I'll also have stuff I actually want (all nba games) and get rid of useless stuff (lifetime, oxygen, etc)

    All you need for ota channels like CBS and fox is an attenna (maybe even bunny ears depending on where you live). That's like a one time cost of $25.
