Why don't you stay at rockets.com and keep on refreshing until they update it! Or you can go to download.com and download something called Refresher 2.5 if you are super lazy. And then you can tell it to refresh any page every few seconds. Patience! Why do you need the stats anyways??? By the way..Jason Collier was 2-7 for 7 points in 10 minutes! Horrible!
I think we all understand you were amazed by him!!!! Too bad I didn't get to see him... And I'm glad Badiane is at least decent for a #44 pick. I'm just worried about Boki.........
Guys- For those that watched this game on TV, what channel was it on? NBA TV? Is that still available on TWC in Houston?
Nope. Not available on TWC Digital Cable. You have to subscribe for Time Warner's Sports Pack or contact them and pay an extra amount of money for NBA League Pass to watch NBA TV and up to 40 games a week....................
I am in CT so I cannot help you. Boki is of some concern. I will reserve judgement until the games are done. As a 13th pick he is definitely disappointing. He is either a bust or was messed by Rudy T. Could be a confidence thing. Initially he was holding his own against Walton but as the game went on Walton took over.
I was at the game. It was definitely depressing. The only person who really made it somewhat fun was Malick Badiane and Hawkins. Malick hustled a lot up and down the court, fought for rebounds, and actually has a nice shot. I saw Ewing smiling several times when Malick made rebounds and shots. Nonetheless, Malick needs to bulk up in the next few years--he looks physically like Manute Bol minus about 7 inches. Tito was just basically bad. It is hard to put a positive spin on his play. He can't penetrate. He made numerous bad passes. He just had a really bad game. In terms of Boki, even though he made a few nice plays, in general, he was off and just not assertive enough. Hawkins looked really good. Tomorrow they play Toronto. Hopefully, things will get better. They really need to make less turnovers and hit their outside shots more consistently.
As raw as Badiane is, his offense is already better than Cato. No one has mentioned it, but he did a move that Dream used to do all the time. He posted up on the left block, dribbled with his right hand to the right, and then spun to his left before he was fouled or had it knocked out of his hands, I don't remember, but the move was there. You can tell that he watched Hakeem play because he had tried a spin move earlier but stepped out of bounds. And that one hook he did was not luck. I rewound it like 10 times and you can tell he set himself up for it... it's in his repertoire. He dunks HARD like Cato too. There was this one dunk he missed (because he was fouled) that would've been really nasty. He had cocked the ball back with his right hand and was gonna slam it on this one guy like Amare Stoudemire likes to do. Malick "Bad Man" Badiane = A very fast and athletic Mutombo + the offensive skills of Stoudemire From what I saw, I'd be shocked if the Rockets sent him overseas.
The only two people that did anything were Hawkins and Badiana. Hawkins did basically what he has done in the time he's played in the regular season. He was constantly hustling and slapping balls away. He even showed he had a nice shot. Hit a couple threes and many mid range J's. Badiana looked really good. The more I watched him the more I thought of Ben Wallace. He was very quick up and down the court and was a great rebounder. He had one monster slam and one that would've been had he not been fouled. He also showed he had some quick foot work in the posted. Made two nice hook shots. Everybody else looked pretty much horrible to me. Boki was very dissapointing but I still wouldn't give up on him yet.
If someone would be so kind as to tape the summer league games, I would gladly pay for the tapes and a little for time spent for someone to mail them to me.
This is a summer leage game man. It's about longshots and rookie trying to get invited to camp and get a change to make the roster. They are not trying to implement all the schemes we will be using in the regular season and our long playoff run.
Shea Seals is the poster boy for coming out early. He was built and played like Mitch Richmond,6'5 about 220 similar to Bonzi Wells. He had a stroke and good first step. He returned to Tulsa for his senior season and had a Micheal Finley type yr. He shot 37 or 40% and dropped like a rock. He was drafted by the Lakers, but never played.
Did Jason Keep get on the floor. The guy was reported to be the strongest player in the draft...in the pre-Draft camp in Chicago he benched 185 lbs 27 times...pretty impressive...supposed to be a banger
What happened to LA Roket Fan. His play by play report on summer league games will be missed if he is no longer around.
maybe Malick can start over Griffen? or is that an outragous statement. havent seen the game but from what you guys tell, it seems like Malik is more usefull than sleepy Griffen.
