John Chavis effect you mean? You know, the guy that sends everyone pro and never kicks anyone off the team...
actually it doesn't matter. All have UT-Austin higher http://footballscoop.com/news/signed-top-25-classes-country-find/
Ah, didn't realize he was the coordinator now at A&M. I don't hang around that thread as often as you are in here.
That link has TAMU over Texas for Rivals. Not that it really matters who's ahead when it's that close, what matters is you're wrong.
The ranking today doesn't reall matter and when you have a top 10 class you did very well. The expectation is that you are challenging for titles with clases like that. This state needs its biggest programs to keep the talent here and to be good.
http://247sports.com/Season/2015-Fo...Rankings?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool&State=TX These rankings take into account all services. UT ended up with 5 of the top 15 and 6 of the top 20. Compared to 2 and 4 respectively for the Aggies, although they had 2 top 5 guys. Looks like A&M cleaned up on the guys ranked 25-50.
It's moved since I posted it. I was correct at the time. Congrats -- the talent gap vs your divisional peers got wider today. Good luck.
Even you know the difference between all of these classes is not as great as the "rankings" suggest. I just hope the chnages Sumlin's made to his staff start yielding more fruit in terms of talent evaluation and development. Typical of the Ags, they had a coach in Sherman who was good at evaluation and coaching them up then replace him with a good motivator and recruiter. Maybe one day, we'll get both.
texxx was certainly owned by the illustration that Texas A&M was merely consensus second best, by the slimmest possible margin, rather than a unanimous choice as second best Embarrassing for you, texxx. Try harder next time.
That's not true either, at least as far as recruiting rankings go. Alabama replaced a #1 class from 2011 with a #1 class for 2015. A&M replaced a not-top-25 class from 2011 with a top-10ish class for 2015. This means the total talent discrepancy would get smaller.
You have to look forward, not back in time. Bama is starting this new vintage of players with a superior lot, according to the recruiting gurus.
