It's not like they make you read it? You could just only pay attention to national signing day if you don't like the constant mind changing. There is a reason there is an official signing day and nothing before that is locked in. Besides, UT has benefited from lots of players changing their minds after committing to other schools. It's not a matter of liking UT or not. It's about liking it more or less than your other options. There are probably lots of pros and cons for each player at each school. 18 years change their minds. They always have. You just never had access to their up-to-the-minute thinking before social media.
The main thing I have taken from all this recent recruiting silliness is that for the past couple of months Strong and his staff have obviously worked their asses off. They didn't get Murray, won't get Mack, but at least they tried. They obviously never wrote off guys that decommitted. It's a nice breath of fresh air after the last few years of Mack's regime.
Soso Jamabo to UCLA <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Officially Committed...Asian Girls Everywhere...UCLA</p>— SOMI JaMITCHELL (@Soso_Jamabo1) <a href="https://twitter.com/Soso_Jamabo1/status/562979638914613248">February 4, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Yea it's tough. If Murray would have flipped then mack and lodge might have followed. Still a good class.
Chris Warren III (RB) commits to Texas. Losing out on Soso hurts but adding Warren into the fold helps.
Newsome had not been committed Texas before today. He was just considered a heavy UT lean when he committed to UCLA a couple of weeks ago.
Absolutely. This staff will be out worked by any other staff in the nation. I just think Charlie needs to add a recruiting rainmaker or two to the staff to help close commitments. We still have an opening at TE coach.
Looks like Mack is about to announce as well. Have read message board chatter for both a&m and tcu today. Hopefully he's looking for one last troll and headed to Texas!
I know a lot of people are schleeping on my grandschon, by I tell you thish, Trey has the potential to be the nextsh Randy McEachern. I remember him when I played agansht him at Arkanshaw! Sho don't count out my grandschon!
Yeah. No surprise really. Guess that may close out the class for UT. Not sure what other players are still out there.
