I LOVE Brad Bird (Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille & Ghost Protocol) but can’t stand Damon Lindelof.

Looks like a fun movie.. Not spectacular cinema but will be pleasant to watch. It's also nice they went with the female protagonist.

How does Lindelof get work? I really don't get it, unless he just has major family connections and/or some big-time dirt on some major producers. I hope his involvement doesn't ruin what could be a great film, but how could he not hurt it? SMDH.

Love the moment in the preview where she first touches the little badge thing. Well done. It's set up perfectly by her interaction with the cop.

Here are his last 3 movie involvement. He doesn't tank at the box office and do "ok" with the critics. We're talking about Hollywood, and risk aversion here.

$540MM World wide gross - WWZ 68% RT score
$467MM World wide gross - Star Trek into Darkness 87% RT score
$403MM World wide gross - Prometheus 73% RT scores

This looks really good. Like a futuristic Wizard of Oz type adventure. I trust Bird so I know this will be infinitely better than Jupiter Ascending.

Every time I see Brad Bird is directing something I wonder why there still isn't an Incredibles 2

They completely ripped South Parks "imaginationland". Visually stunning, some good dialogue... But I had no idea wtf the movie was about until the last 30 minutes.

    6/10.
