Just don't look good this year. Need Sefolosha back and trade Reggie Jackson for whatever they can get, just doesn't fit with a healthy OKC.

I hope they make the 8th seed only to potentially knock out G.S. Warriors.

Suns, 8 games above .500 and playing really well lately, up on the Warriors right now. Meanwhile Thunder, 1 game under .500, lost 4 of their last 5 including the worst team in the NBA. They better get to work.

So OKC basically can't lose 10 more games the rest of the way? If so, here are 19 games that they could easily lose:

    2/4 - @ NOP
    2/8 - vs. LAC
    2/11 - vs. MEM
    2/19 - vs. DAL
    2/26 - @ PHX
    2/27 - @ POR
    3/5 - @ CHI
    3/8 - vs. TOR
    3/11 - vs. LAC
    3/15 - vs. CHI
    3/16 - @ DAL
    3/20 - vs. ATL
    3/25 - @ SA
    3/29 - @ PHX
    4/1 - vs. DAL
    4/3 - @ MEM
    4/5 - vs. HOU
    4/7 - vs. SA
    4/13 - vs. POR

They basically have to win the other 16 games I didn't post, plus 9 of those 19 difficult games.

OKC is in serious danger of missing the playoffs now. Suns playing well in their schedule of hell and OKC looking like a shadow of itself.

They're right on the bubble and would need to play very, very well or have Phoenix fall off from their current pace.

If Phoenix keeps playing the way they're playing (.583), they'll finish with approximately 47 wins.

Given their current record (23-24), OKC will need to go at least 24-11 (.683) for the rest of the season. Not impossible if they were playing their best ball, but right now they're struggling (7-6 in January) which makes it a very hard road.

Personally, barring a minor miracle I don't think they'll make it. And if they do, it will be by the skin of their teeth.

OKC just isn't that good. Just a bunch of iso KD/Westbrook with subpar role players and chemistry.

OKC is 4 losses behind the Suns with 34-35 games to go. If they get on a roll, it's a done deal.

At some point in the last half of the season, the Suns will probably falter. Assuming they will finish at 47-48 wins is a mistake.

Right now I give OKC a 75% chance of making the playoffs. Their offensive sophistication is more pathetic than usual this year but I don't trust the Suns to continue winning.

I would prefer OKC not get a lotto pick.

yup. we should all be rooting for OKC. if they get in as an 8th seed, either them or GS will get bounced, which is good for us since it eliminates one of our top threats. suns vs GS wouldn't be a series at all IMO.

They are done. They don't even have momentum now.

Their chances are slim. They pretty much can't even dream of catching Dallas and even catching Phoenix would be pretty tough thing to do considering Suns will have plenty of home games.

And they're not even playing decent nowadays

As much as Ibaka has improved he is kind of inconsistent offensively and KD / Westbrook is all about iso, so personally don't see them going into playoffs with that crappy offence. And Perkins is such a joke, cringe everytime I see him

I think they'll get in and they'll be scary. What they cannot anticipate is the inevitable injury and will they be strong enough to maintain chemistry through that event should it happen. They should be playing at a better rate than Pheonix through the end of the season. Sneak in. And I do think they would beat the Warriors too.

Suns are closer to the Spurs than the Thunder are to the Suns
