This is a problem. The refs are following orders. The same thing will happen again in the playoffs. Hopefully Harden adjusts better this time around then he did the last two years.
A step back fadeaway from 3-5 feet would be devastating and high percentage. Would also open some passing lanes when the help defense collapses and tries to contest.
IF anyone wants to make a few extra buck$ Make a video, start it off with a picture of stats (free throws James Harden averaged throughout season) then Show a pictures of stats (free throws James Harden has averaged over the course of the last 3 games) 1st video clip is of the Blazers vs Rockets game where the Blazers complain during game that James Harden is sticking his hands out away from his chest (most players tuck the ball in) which is why they keep going for the ball and fouling him. 2nd video clip is that same game when Bill Worrell points out that doing that is not against the rules and most players would do that if they had the strength Harden has which is unique to him- it is why he gets called for fouls- when he puts the ball out infront of him away from his chest 1. you have a very LARGE chance of hitting his arms when going for the ball and 2. seeing the ball out there in the open is tempting for you to swipe at it instead of holding back 3rd-many clips should be various clips of Harden driving to the hoop and obviously getting blatantly fouled in which no calls were made OVER THE COURSE OF THE LAST 3 GAMES ^^ so many of these are obvious and there are so many close ups of his forearms getting smacked and hit.. this part is easy end the video pointing out his free throw discrepancy isn't do to him suddenly not getting fouled.. it must go deeper/possibly NBA rigging.. whether its from orders that were sent from headquarters, whether they want the Rockets to lose or whether the NBA refs may be involved in gambling over/under scores.. point out nothing aside from one of those 3 makes any sense POST THAT VIDEO TO CLUTCHFANS and trust me, clutchfans will find a way to make it go viral more than money- when it goes viral you very well may help the Rockets win a few more games as I'm sure with the publicity NBA Refs will know they are viewed in a more critical spotlight and will call a foul if its blatantly a foul (like it has been all year) then cash in that youtube $$ I would but I suck at video making
someone (the coach) needs to be willing to cop a 50-100k fine in the playoffs. one of the best things phil ever did was his willingness to eat fines to put a microscope on such directives, to in effect get rid of them. They're not avoiding contact....
jvg was complaining about fouls being called as fouls, phil complains about fouls not being called as fouls
He needs to adjust. The regular season is where he should learn on how to play through it because the playoffs will be completely different.
There shouldn't be any "adjustment". He's clearly getting hacked. There are obviously some where Harden embellishes, but the vast majority are legit hacks. Those fouls should be called.
To make things more fun Root Sports HD stopped working. I Get To Watch The Second Half in Standard Definition.
How do you adjust to the refs allowing teams to foul you without fear of calls? What is he supposed to do, ask them nicely to consider beating him up a bit less?
It's clear the NBA has mandated James Harden doesn't get calls. He routinely gets hacked and nothing gets called. It's embarrassing how obvious it is.
I've been saying this. If you rely on the refs to get you points, you need to be prepared that sometimes they don't cooperate. Some of you told me that Harden's fouls were legit and that he would always get the call because he got them by the rules. Well, fair or not, Harden doesn't control the whistles. The refs do. I know getting to the foul line is not Harden's only weapon and he is a much more complete player than Kevin Martin. But getting fouled is a big part of his game. He needs to adjust when it is not going his way.
He doesn't rely on the refs. He goes for lay-ups and gets fouled, and the referees are not calling it. People say he "relies" on the referee like they keep bailing him out. If he gets fouled, he gets fouled.
Exactly, this is not Kevin Martin we're talking about here. James is very physical going into the lane and takes contact on almost every drive
I love my ROCKETS and I watch all their games and other NBA games... but the NBA is the worst-officiated game in the WORLD. It's the only game I have heard of refs bringing cookies to coaches, refs soliciting autographs at NBA stores from players, hugs and kisses, and not to mention the the Donaughey conspiracy (corruption always involves more than one actor). Now I know why JVG and George Karl - both really good coaches - don't have jobs anymore except as commentators where they are just there to follow along the script. Ironic comment from the Zen master himself saying the refs brought them back in the game. For your viewing enjoyment, a little therapy from the internet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Pw9g1efbNs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHd2UNqtYjg Insanity is doing something over and over and expect a different outcome. We watch NBA games and come to this site and bi#@h about how things turn out because of refs, coaching, etc... There IS no feedback system for the NBA. It is considered just entertainment not like the Olympics. They just feed you what they do and you're supposed to just take it, no matter what. If you guys want things to change, stop watching, stop buying tickets, stop buying memorabilia. Money talks. Hope this helps.
