very concerned... Harden usually pretty tough with injuries and doesn't show it but he kept grasping for it.
Bev was immediately removed from the game and didn't return. "Sprained knee" (meaning ligament issue) was the initial diagnosis during the game. None of those things happened tonight. Not saying it's 100% that James is fine... but the Rockets are generally a pretty conservative organization, medically. For them to let James continue playing in an NBA game without even testing it makes me pretty confident that they view it as simply a bruise (or something along those lines).
Thats what i was telling my buddy at the game. I just don't see the rockets Medical staff letting the 25 year old franchise player keep playing if it really was serious. I mean this wasn't rockets vs lakers playoff Yao Ming, this was just a regular season game 1/82 in the whole scheme if things it's not that important. Hopefully he's alright and in the lineup vs the celtics we need him.
Knee pads should be mandatory for all players on the team. ridiculous to not wear them with so much contact in this sport. The knees are pretty damn important and players should be protecting them.
Used to wear them and they were uncomfortable, seemed to restrict freedom of motion. Maybe they are not so bulky now.
Harden embellishes injures. It's like you guys have never seen him play before. Harden makes the most mundane injury look season ending. I'm sure he is fine. He knows he is everything to the Rockets. sometimes I think he just likes to see us squirm.
I'd rest him for Boston and Detroit to be honest. I mean no offense to Boston and althought Detroit has been playing great with B Jennings and an Easten conference matchup, wouldnt worry so much about that game.
While I agree he does this from time to time Jeremy Lin is the absolute worst at this. How many times has Jeremy been poked in the eye or been real slow to get up? So annoying...I didn't miss it one bit when watching the Lakers vs. Rockets the other night. I think when Harden grimaces he is in true real pain but it is not enough to play through so embellishes so everyone knows he is playing hurt. Paul Pierce, MJ, Kobe, all do this for whatever reason.
Yeah, I like the sound of resting him for the next two and having him back for the Bulls game. Glad the knee appears to be fine, just waiting to hear something on it.
