first of all, shes like some famous designer, so it wasnt cheap. second, everybody says we are getting screwed for paying her, but what did yall expect? everybody asked for a simple logo, so thats what we got. if its simple, then its probly not going to relfect the amount of money we put into it. like tim said earlier, look at mcdonalds and nike. if nike makes millions every year off of a glorified check mark called a swoosh, then im pretty sure the R will work for us. people just want something they can wear on a t-shirt in public without being laughed at. the majority of us arent "graphic designers," so we arent going to scrutinize the weaknesses of hte logo and crap like that.
Thats it I cant take all this negativity. I hated the logo as much as the next guy, but after settling down I came to my senses. The logo ROCKS> It has the ability to color changed,with different backgrounds,that leads it to being such as a grey shirt with a red logo, or black shirt with silver or red or grey,goes on and on.You get the point. The old rocket logos couldnt change colors and thats what made it BLAND>Im glad Jay Mariotti hates it .He hates Ming and Francis also,so when he says it looks satanic,all that does is bring more exposure to us and sell more tshirts. The fact PTI and the other show are talking about it is pretty cool also. It does have its faults,but what logo doesnt have faults? We can play this game forever and make this thread 10000 replies just to come up with different tilts over and over again. If the dude on MTV is already wearing it then thats a hell of alot better exposure than the dildo with teeth. I think this logo is cool. I like the blood and goth. Im 30 and so I think it appeals to young and old. Those stupid saps that booed at the astros game are losers. Baseball is the most boring sport on earth and they think they have the nerve to boo. Dumbasses. If garnett joined the rockets and said he liked the logo(instead of moochie saying it) Im sure all of you would love it then. Its about the players wants(they like it) and getting better players,and winning. If the rockets won championships with the dildo with teeth we would still have the teeth and be in love with it.
I think all of the people who hate or dislike the logo now will change their mind once they see it on a uniform, once it becomes part of the team, and once we get into the new arena. This year is going to rock for the Rockets (sorry about the pun). I'm really looking forward to getting some new gear and supporting our team 100%. I really like it. There's hundreds of designs that I would probably like and this happens to be one of them. I will wear it proudly. Go Rox! Chris
You're right barbourdg. I just got a chance to look at our PMS chart and 200 isn't that bad, but I think the Bull's uni is more like 186/187 depending on how the material "prints" and the lighting. I still see magenta in 200 but it might look different on a jersey. However, I've noticed the hat looks pink too. The hat does not look "Bull's red" to me. I'll guess we'll have to wait and see.

I agree. I already like how it loks on a cap, in white with the rest of the cap red. In the end, the positives will outweigh the negatives! And who knows, maybe they can tweak it to make it better sometime in the future.
stole the following from lexisnexis.com, whose logo uses PMS 200 to me it doesn't look exactly like the bulls' red, but contrasted against black with white, it looks good (not entirely pink/magenta)
do we know exactly that she was the one who created the logo, last i heard, she was to design the uniform, maybe she may have some input on the logo, but not sure if she actually designed the logo.

Oh I dunno, I thought I had heard on ESPN that she had been asked to draw or create the logo, and that because of her past Academy Award for Brahm Stoker's Dracula, she also was considering the uniform, I am not for sure though
actually I see it as both a capital (H) and a lower case (h). The (h) is combined together with the (R) and the (H) is and the bottom of the two and part of the Halo.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but the ASTROS logo i belive is Awsome, i really think it has a classic edge that will still be the trademark of the franchise for years to come. I mean, who can argue with that mix of black, brick red and sand??
