They're tanking intentionally. They lose their first round pick next year if it falls out of the top 5.

You're asking this in a thread full of old time idiots stroking each other's e-peens cause they just cannot take the break up well. Their only purpose in life is to watch Jeremy Lin fail, so they keep coming back to this thread to find meaning in their life by derailing the thread and insulting a player.

so in short, it's probably more productive if you ask this on the DnD than in this thread.

And I don't think every Lin supporter is some crazy d*ck-riding freak. I'm sure it seems so on here, but visiting other forums and reddit.com/r/nba a lot of people think that Lin should be playing and has been treated unfairly by Byron Scott, not just crazy Lin fins.

Hm, I guess that makes sense. But I don't really think playing Lin would cause them to lose a lottery pick lol. I'd think they'd at least want to show-case him a little since he is a fairly high-profile and somewhat entertaining player/personality. Big Asian market also obviously.

That was odd how they showed up all of a sudden. Like the LOF threw up a bat signal or something.

The state of this thread is pretty bad when people who are just taking a peak here feel the need to first declare they're not a Lin fan

If they really want to tank, they need to play Lin 48 minutes. This theory has been long debunked.

    Fresh from tonight's game...

Rookie Jordan Clarkson who is now starting....8-18 for 18 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 Turnover.

26 year old Jeremy Lin with over 3 years of NBA experience....1-5 for 7 points, 8 assists, and 4 turnovers.

No Young or Kobe to hold him back either.

LOL. Lin is now carrying the rookie's bags.

    Absolutely.

Also, notice that, as is typically the case, not a single argument was made against the actual content of that post. ;)

I still can't believe two weeks of good play netted him a 25 million dollar Co tract.

Along with the 25 million dollars are the LOFs and LOHs. Money doesn't come freely. ;)

I would say that Lin fans are the Bane of sports boards, but that means I would be insulting Bane.

When the game is on the line in the 2nd half what does Jerry Lin do? 0/4 from the field, 2 points from free throws, 3 assists and 2 turnovers

Scott is an idiot for playing this mental midget anytime a game gets close. He should know by now that Lin will lose you or play you out of more games than most on that roster.

No Kobe due to injury which the Lin fans were celebrating and jerking each other over which in itself is appalling and despicable. So what are the excuses now?

That's probably exactly Scott's plan. Can't slip out of the bottom-5 or this entire season goes to waste. Phoenix will then get their pick.

Besides, the Lakers' alternative is Ronnie Price and Jordan Clarkson. Ouch.

Maybe you are insulted but Tom Hardy does not give a darn.

Was Lin tanking when he cost the Rockets 2 playoff games? Were the Rockets looking to draft a top 4 player when Lin was making boneheaded plays down the stretch?

Like it or not, the guy is a mental midget who freezes come crunch time pr the game is on the line. Most of his stats are empty like the garbage time points he scored against the Rockets.

Stilled confused about the ongoing fascination/hatred of Lin here. Most Lakers fans I know want him to get more time, and are much more annoyed with Nick Young's abysmal percentages and whopping 1 assists per game. In the almost 300 minutes they played together on the floor this season, Nick Young had 0 assists to Kobe. Pretty crazy stat.
