MTV debuted the logo first...

    This past Sunday July 6, on MTV and Magic Johnson's new show Who's Got Game, Nick was wearing a t-shirt with the logo on it, and with his last name Wells and the number 3 on the back. I didnt catch the episode until tonight, because they're re-running it.

    I was wondering how he got the t-shirt? How did the Rockets organization give it to him? If anyone would be wearing it, I thought it would be Wendell from Houston, but it was Nick.

    *This show was taped back in April-May, so how did he get the logo shirt?

    Flipping through the chanels. I saw a Black hat with an R and on the Back it said Rucker. Is that what your referring to?

    I caught the end of it and Nick was wearing a jacket so I couldn't see his shirt.

    Did you bother reading my post? Nick was wearing a gray t-shirt with the red "R". There was no hat, it was a t-shirt.

    So now that I know I'm not crazy and someone else saw the logo too....how did he get the t-shirt back in April???

    Heh ... I did say we were leaking it out there to gauge early reaction.

    The logo was a big hit on that circuit, even though nobody knew what it stood for. :D

    So how exactly did you get Nick the t-shirt? Did you know they were going to air it before the logo actually was out? This actually first aired two days before the Chronicle showed the pics

    We were planning for it to "leak" through wearables and then follow up with the billboards. We didn't know exactly when people would pick up on the logo, but our best guess WAS that today would be the day. (We were off by one.)

    We had staff delivering hats to folks all day long. Billboards go up next week.

    Personally, I was also curious on whether anybody on this board would pick up on the logo on MTV when it originally aired.

    I didn't get a chance to watch the show last Sunday, but I really doubt I would have known it was the new logo. But how did you get Nick the shirt all the way back in April? I mean, he couldnt buy the shirt in NY, so you guys had to give it to him somehow.

    Tim, I work in the AIG building on Imperial Valley in case you want to drop some more off tomorrow. :cool:

    BTW, I saw the logo on MTV as well. I could have sworn I saw it tattoo'd on one of the Surfgirls asses. :D

    I didn't notice it...I'm not sure which one is Nick.

    All I know is there are 2 women streetballers, a white guy with mad handles named White Chocolate, and a guy from Houston nicknamed Houston.

    Did Nick's shirt say francis or wells on the back? I've heard two different stories. Either way I wanna know when I can buy one.

    Tim -- So when they got this T-shirt, you were kind of secretly testing the logo . . . Did you secretly test with more potential logos than this one, or had you already chosen this one as THE logo, then leaked it around to gauge reaction. Basically what I'm asking is were other potential logos leaked out there to get some reaction, just as this one was?
