I liked what Horry said about that team being 0-5 against the spurs, gives me hope we can sack up and play better basketball

That's a sick rationale. Just like those didn't want to vote our star players, hoping that leaving them out of All-Star honor would motivate them.

Stop manipulating them like animals......:eek::eek:

Why do we care so much about player awards?

If Harden doesn't win the MVP, does that invalidate what he has done?

Awards in any scenario (music, TV, sports) are flawed and sometimes completely irrelevant.

Thing is they don't guard each other. They never guard anyone good.

No one should really be concerned about an MVP award at all currently. This team is approaching a crucial crossroads. Is the current plan good enough? What's needed to make a true contender? Are Howard's struggles temporary or the new reality? The list goes on. Put this BS on the back burner for a while. There's bigger fish to fry.

Try asking guys like Barkley, Nash, and Malone about the one thing they'd trade those MVP awards for.

Dream was injured for a large portion of the 95 season so therefore the Rockets record was not among the top tier in the league.

    It's a regular season award.

This logic doesn't make any sense.

I want Harden to win MVP.

    and Finals MVP too.

If he wins it it's because he deserves it, good for him.

As for "Motivation", if getting knocked out of the first round easily doesn't get you motivated, nothing will.
