Wouldn't that have been the karma for losing Roy and to a much lesser extent, Oden?

Injuries like these make me super anxious about getting injured doing daily menial work or in pickup games. I'd think it was only temporary thumb pain, and then panic 2 months later when it still hurts.

Well, that will teach him to be good on the Blazers.

Batum leaves the Celtics game tonight with a wrist sprain and will not return. Uh oh.

Batum came up big for them in that stretch. He's been dumpster juice this whole season so far, save for one game. Zero points tonight, almost halfway through Q4. FWIW, he had that PRP therapy Dwight had & said he hasn't been the same since.

Anyway, I think there's a pretty good chance Portland doesn't slip in the standings. They're leading their division by a pretty large margin -- they'd have to drop like 8 games while OKC wins 8 or 9 (with no Blazers wins in there to keep beating OKC back a game).

Oh, yikes! Hadn't even seen that. Considering the season he's had, him missing some time may do more good than harm lol.

Yes and them beating us in the playoffs was karma for us beating them in 2009.

Karma's a b****. And now the b**** has turned its eye on Portland once again.

Welcome to the grind house Portland. Injuries build up, now it's time to see if you can finish the battles.

Never want to see a player get injured. But gotta take advantage of this! I think we're about to see LAC take off and get into the top 3. We really need to try and keep pace with them.

    Next 9 games:
    Wizards
    @ Brooklyn
    @ Cleveland
    @ Atlanta
    @ Milwaukee
    Utah
    Phoenix
    @ Dallas
    @ Houston

Looks like a 3-6 or 4-5 streak to me.

They could afford to go 3-6 over that stretch and still hang onto 3rd seed.

Portland will still be 4th seed, unless the Thunder catch them, ah, the perks of being in that Northwest division.

They have not looked as good as what...a month ago any ways.

Will be interesting to see, they almost dropped that game against Sactown and now just lost to Boston. I could see them dropping to the bottom half of the bracket but does that matter if they get everyone healthy in time of the playoffs? Not really.

They will be fine, we need to worry about ourselves since we're in a freefall and the Clippers just overtook us...

    Get well soon Aldridge!

I think he missed 4 weeks at most last year, right? And no, they were not good without him. They may be a little better this year with Lillard's development, but their upcoming schedule ain't easy. I expected them to drop in the standings regardless, but this will speed up the process.

So the 4th seed(or 5th seed with home court) is right there for the taking for the Rockets if they can get their sh-t together. Hell, so is the 2nd seed, but they've gotta get mentally right before that can happen.
