    What is up with this?

Happens every day around 2-3pm. Get really tired.... dont want to work.... want to take a nap under my desk.....

Mexican food escalates the problem for some reason.

I get 6-8 hours of sleep a night so I dont know why this happens.

Perhaps it's too much sugar. I used to get this as well, until I cut out as much sugar from my diet as humanly possible.

    Try eating a lighter lunch.

    i have some advice...

this crap used to happen to me all the time. sometimes i'd get tired to the point where i just had to leave and go home early.

snack during the day from the time you get to work until the time you leave. skip lunch and take a nap instead. works for me. :)

a cup of joe after lunch does the trick for me. if you aren't a coffee drinker, try (as someone else suggested) cutting back on the sugar intake.

Also if you dont drink coffee, eat an apple when you are getting sleepy, it does a good, if not better, job of waking you up. . . . no seriously

"Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour.

    Da-uh? Space out?

Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

i have several years of experience with this, and let me tell ya, i still like taking naps. i've determined that i've officially f*cked my sleeping pattern for a long, long time, though. falling asleep before 3 am is a rarity for me. that's what no job, late classes, and constant boozing (among other things) do to you:D

but taking a nap for lunch is actually a good idea. there was a study that was released about a week ago (saw it on msn.com) that said taking a 60-90 min nap actually increased sharpness and productivity. just get a quick and light bite to eat and nap for about an hour. should do the trick, thereotically speaking of course.

I'm not a nutritionist, but from what I read you should eat approx 6 SMALL meals per day, it keeps your metabolism steady. Try eating fruit or something around 2:00 and see what happens.
