Okc would lose to GS in a 7 game series. Some guys just dont get it GS is the team to beat. They are nearly perfect.
Or he has seen Animal House... Bluto: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! Otter: [to Boon] Germans? Boon: Forget it, he's rolling
Huh? Parker, Duncan and Ginobli played in all 4 gaves vs the Rockets last season and Leonard played in 3 of the 4. This year we have played GS without Howard, Beverley and Jones in one game, minus Howard, Papanikolaou and Jones in the 2nd one and without Jones the last two. Maybe you're thinking of our first meeting with SA this season when they choose to sit their older guys? SA was pretty much at full strength each time we played them last season.
Houston and LAC are both currently on pace to win 54 games. Assuming that they both keep playing at the same level then OKC would have to go 33-7 the rest of the way in order to move into 6th place. OKC still has 2 games vs ATL, 3 vs Memphis, 2 vs LAC, 2 vs Dallas, 2 vs Portland, 2 vs Chicago, 1 vs Toronto , 2 vs SA and 1 vs Phoenix and 1 vs Houston. They've dug themselves such a big hole that it's going to be tough for them do do much better than just making the playoffs.
We are a highly functioning AAU team. Not smart at the game of basketball from the coaches to players. Didn't come close to scratching Golden State in 4 games is flat out horrible. I agree you don't win Championships in January but this team has no understanding of defense and smart basketball
GS was missing players on 1 or 2 of the early meet ups this year too against houston (pretty sure Lee and/or Bogut were out), not saying they equal Howard but injuries happen. Also, even if SAS had all their players in every game last season and we swept them it doesn't matter, come playoffs Spurs are proven champions and would have beaten the Rockets. We can "make believe" all we want, and while I think Houston would have made it a better series than Portland last year they still would have lost. I guess what I'm saying is if houston doesn't fix their problems, gsw will roll the Rockets again come playoffs. The Spurs are the opposite of the Rockets, they play better in the playoffs and the Rockets just focus on the first round.
My post was to correct the statement that "San Antonio wasn't playing at full strength for half of those games. I didn't make any comment on the state of the Rockets or their chances in the post season. Likewise I didn't mention anything about the health of the Warriors.
One of the worst threads ever. McHale is not fit enough to lace Pop's shoes. McHale is nothing more than toilet paper in Pop's eyes.
The thing I don't get is ppl saying we don't match up well with the Warriors? Don't we have we have a team tailor made to beat a team like the warriors like we have been the last several years?
Do NOT call this just a bad matchup. GS is just flat out better than the Rockets, and most everyone else in the NBA.
Spurs have the beautiful game. Rockets have a coach who can't even draw anything other than a Harden iso.
