You think he's playing like crap only because his knee is hurt? Lol, you must be joking. Of course he's not feeling all that great, but he shouldn't be playing THIS bad... I mean watching the guy in the post is like seeing Josh Smith shoot threes.

Him being injured has NOTHING to do with him being an idiot. He doesn't realize how terrible he is when he posts up.

He's not getting the ball the way he used to. We started sucking when Papa got injured and decided to give more time to Josh Smith. We started making a come back at the end of that golden state game because of our passing. That's good basketball. I hope we give kpap more time to develop because he definitely knows how to get Dwight the ball.

Does he strike you as the kind of guy who actually hates losing? Like REALLY REALLY hate losing...I'm sure we all know the answer to this question which can pretty much wrap up any discussion about him as a bball player.

When your main focus is being an "icon" and a living legend instead of you know, winning, then you tend to see what's best for yourself and not the team. It's always been this way him and always will be unfortunately. I knew it before he signed and was still happy he did because of the player not the person. But as I'm typing this I'm realizing more and more that I'm just about done with him lol

Dwight does need to stick with what he's good at more. Lobs, defense and rebounds. It's frustrating that people keep baiting him for the flop and he falls for it so many times. He never has a counter for that.
Regardless I still like him on the team. He's the best we'be had at the center position since Yao ming. Just got to have a lower expectation of him like we did with deke. He shouldn't be our 2nd option on offense, but we should look to him when the outside shots not going and we need a point.
I know it's early and no one is thinking about this yet, but I think Dwight will give us a big hometown discount on his next signing. He will probably have one more contract after this, he's made enough money, he will still be able to play good defense and get rebounds for us then. Still early I know.

We need Morey to just start getting the players that Dwight needs to be sucessful. I am so tired of the "chasing the big names". If Morey and Les really felt like our time is now then we should have kept Parsons or acquired someone at least equivelant to his offensive production. What we really should have traded was Les Alexander for Mark Cuban. The problem with Dwight this year is that besides Harden no one is capable of breaking down the defence and getting him the ball. Watch how other teams swarm around Dwight. He is forced to post up because no one else can drive and get him the ball. The only other person I saw was Kpap early in the season. Parsons was good at that as well as Harden. I love Ariza but we should have still kept Parsons. All we needed to do was work on our bench this past offseason. So if people say Dwight has regressed. I agree. But it isn't entirely his fault. Should be a lineuo of.
    Dwight Dmo
    Dmo parsons kpap
    Parsons Ariza kpap
    Harden
Beverly and a back up pg as long as he was better than Lin.

Posted this in another thread. It fits so.....

He's killing the chemistry of this team. He needs to play the same role as Black and Dorsey played while he was out. He should not get any plays run for him and he should not take any shots unless they are dunks. His three main functions should be play defense, get rebounds and dunk the ball.

If he can't understand that or play that way sit his ass on the bench. We really should bring Black back or bring Capela up from the D league. Players that understand their role and know their limitations would be better for the team.

Posted this in another thread. Applies to this one as well.

Dwight Howard is Otis Thorpe. Everyone including Dwight Howard thinks that he is Hakeem Olajuwon.

You could dump the ball into Thorpe all day if you wanted to but the opponent would gladly let you run that offense. The % works in the opponents' favor.

What Dwight needs to do is concentrate on rebounding, defense, and finishing the plays created for him......just control the paint.

My thoughts exactly. If dude isn't healthy, ready him up for playoffs.

He has no reliable offensive shot outside of the dunk. He has zero shooting touch. That's why his Hakeem training sessions have been a total failure. He can pretend to mimic Hakeem but he just can't finish reliably in the post-up game. He looked better last season. He looks lost this season. Someone get him a map.

This current Dwight Howard IS the problem. Whatever is ailing him is also bringing the team down. Sit him down for a few games and I can almost guarantee we will play much better.

Probably will help Harden's MVP campaign too if he carries the team to wins again.

Dwight should see he's hurting the team and just sit games out.

Heres my unbias opinion of Dwight, he has all the tools to be a great bigman. But the frustration with him is I don't think he WANTS IT as bad as others want it for him. Dwight's heart just isn't 100% in being the best bigman. He's comfortable with getting 16 & 12. When the expectations get too high he runs from the pressure, like he did in LA. Hakeem taught Dwight certain techniques, but Dwight digresses and goes back to the ****ty postmoves he's been using since his rookie year smh. All in all, you can't MAKE a player want to be great.

imho, he needs to get mean, get agressive and use some of his strength to OWN the paint. If nothing else, use his size to intimidate someone going in and make them think twice about invading his space. make that HIS space.

DH12 needs to be shut down till he recovers from his knee issue. Need to expand the playing time for the bench players.

There's no point to be had there. Only fallacious conjecture.
