It seems to me that no matter what the Rockets do some of you will constantly b**** and complain. There is no reason what so ever not to like the new Logo, I mean what did you have in mind?, It's either to cartoonish, or to plain with some fans. Not to start anything with anyone, but I had to get some stuff off my chest.
So are we just supposed to sit here and post: We love the Rockets and would never question any decision they have ever made or will make in the future. Go Rockets! If so, this would be a very boring site indeed. I personally think the logo is not bad, could use a little work, but beats the hell out of cartoon time for sure.
I think that's a rule of the internet in general, like the joke about its purpose in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I loved the teeth logo and initially hated the new one just because it was replacing it, but now it's really grown on me. Like Tim said in another thread, just give it time and more people will probably like it. And you can never please those ketchup and mustard fanboys.
Kevin, I see where you are going with this, but another thread has it right on. The Rockets paid somebody a lot of money for this design which to me looks like something anyone could have come up with in 5 minutes given a box of crayons. Simplistic can be good. This logo is simplistic and not good.
I think you underestimate the hardwork and effort put in to creating this or any logo. It's simple sure, but no five-year-old could come up w/ this outright. If you...or anyone else for that matter...think they can...prove it!
I love our last logo too, they shoulda kept it but maybe without the teeth haha. I just really hope the new one gets better with time. I'm not one of the people who complains bout everything concerning the Rockets, just this logo cuz it sucks.

Who cares about the logo? What importance does it play in how the Rockets look on the court? The only part I am concerned about is the uniforms. As long as they go to some solid colors with a traditional NBA uni look, I'm good with the logo. For example, when I think of the Celtics, I don't think of the leprachaun....I think of the green and white uniforms. Also, when I think of the Rockets, I think of the white and red from years past, not the dildo with teeth that we sported for years. If the new UNIFORMS keep with that theme, I'm good with the logo. And I like the red hats with the white logo. Will look to buy one as soon as they come out.
