Please someone convince me. Because my dreams of a championship with Howard as the leading bigman are completely dead right now.

He has regressed T-Mac style. Just looks like a completely different player this season.
I pray its just effort and focus based, because if that bone on bone thing is true he will never recover to star form.

He will never win a championship

not only that, his career might end up worse than TMacs in Houston

except t-mac had an elite skillset but injuries that derailed his career.

dwight is just an athletic defensive center with limited skills. his game is based solely on athleticism.

I wonder if Dwight will even opt out after next season.

He's always been trash post up player always will be. Mchale needs to have some nuts and tell him that and stop running damn post up plays for his soft ass. Let Dmo get those touches and make dwight a decoy and pick n roll player. I'm DONE with Dwight he has had too many opportunities and I don't want to hear anything about injuries because even when he was supposedly he never impressed me. I'm going to sleep hopefully when I wake i'll see we won, but I doubt it.

He's the one star player who actively goes against his own strengths and it'll never make sense to me.

Dwight was at his best when he had a coach riding his ass all day every day, forcing him to be accountable, pushing him forward, using him correctly.

Yep SVG - now he has no accountability and is playing intermittently, making stupid plays, and no one to push him but himself, and his mentally weak approach is not what will get the best out of him.

The Rockets are not going to contend without someone pushing Dwight every night, ain't gonna happen.

Dwight is the answer to why the Rockets are screwed for another two and a half years.

I'm sick of the narrative and the pressure that this guy needs to be a dominant offensive low post player.

For this team to be successful Dwight needs to do good Dwight Howard things. There is enough talent around to put the ball in the basket to win games if he's dominating the game on the defensive end and being aggressive to get offensive boards and rolling hard to the rim.

Dwight can be the most important player on a championship team, but he can't be the focal point of your offense anymore like he was in Orlando. He's GOT to take a step back in demanding touches on the low post. It kills the team offensive flow and expends too much of his energy that should be used to dominate in the areas that it's needed more.

He has no player option until 2016.

    2015 salary: $22,359,364
    2016 player option: $23,282,457

If that's the case then Dwight is taking up $23 million to do what an MLE level player can do.

Yes, but the Rockets also need to play to their Strengths. We should have plays for _josh-Dwight-Harden by now. There's no way you have a triple threat like that and don't take advantage, that is a dangerous and deadly trio; yet we run our offense through Jason Terry, and Brewer?

Answer? Not to your championship aspirations.

Hard enough as it already is, H&H won't win a championship here.

Yeah, Dwight can't really be blamed when the other players are all spot up shooters like ariza , bev, terry, smith. Team was constructed incorrectly by morey, ignoring the need for a playmaker or scorer and bringing in more of the same. Dwight will be fine once the coach is gone and players who actually take pressure off Harden are brought in. Whole roster and what morey trying to do with it is FLAWED, not the individual players.

Last and final piece of the Dwight/Fegan 2013 free agent negotiations. I guarantee you along with the Parsons opt out there was a guarantee to offer a Max deal in 3 years to make up for the money he was leaving on the table with LA.

Sorry but Morey is obligated to give a max deal. I'd be shocked if their hands aren't tied on that matter.

Look we have NO set offense other than ISO harden n post Dwight. Mcfail is not the answer. Get a coach who can tell Dwight to stop getting the ball away from the basket and go into a postup form from there. Dwight is playing YMCA pickup ball right now.
