I also posted this in a few other NBA boards.....

Top 15’ PGs of the 1990s

Please consider some of these guys if they put together 3 or 4 solid seasons etc….Many players over the years have had great seasons and then suffered injuries etc that affected their careers – please take this slightly into consideration. Also take into consideration some didn’t play all through the 90s but played most says or a few very good ones.

I may have left a few off the list or added some PGs not that good, but oh well. Below I have listed some of the great ones (not particularly in order).

Please make your top 15 PG’s in ORDER in the 1990s. At the end I will do a ranking system to see the boards top 15 PGs of the 90s. This poll is designed mostly for those who watched the NBA fanatically in the 90s.

    John Stockton
    Gary Payton
    Jason Kidd
    Kevin Johnson
    Tim Hardaway
    Mark Price
    Penny Hardaway
    Stephon Marbury
    Mark Jackson
    Sam Cassell
    Mookie Blaylock
    Terrell Brandon
    Rod Strickland
    Derek Harper
    Kenny Anderson
    Terry Porter
    Mahmoud Abdul Rauf (Chris Jackson)
    Avery Johnson
    Kenny Smith
    Spud Webb
    Mugsey Bouges
    Nick Van Exel

So who makes your list? Please no sarcastic or joke lists.

    Thank you

    -Nikos

Why is a guy like nick so low? The guy has the highest asst:to ratio in the history of hoops. Some of those yrs hewas like 18 and 8, but yet you place mugsy bouges and the oft injured mark price over him?

No Darrell Armstrong? He was at least as good as some of those players towards the bottom of that list in the 90s.

He didn't even make an NBA team until around 97 or98.

I left out Armstrong and Marbury for the same reason: they didn't REALLY make a big impact until the end of the decade.

Marbury (one of my favorite fantasy players) was a stud from the get-go. But he didn't develop into an All-Star player until very recently.

Uh...wrong. He's been in the league since 94. His seasons in the late 90s were as good as those put in by some of the players on the list.

Steve's first NBA game was at the end of '99, so he really isn't in the top PG's of the 90's. He'd surely be on the top PG's of the....whatever this decade is called.

    1- Stockton
    2- Payton
    3- T. Hardaway
    4- K. Johnson
    5- R. Strickland

After the top 5 its hard to rank them, some guys were at the end of their careers (Mark Price) in the early 90s and some guys (marbury) were beginning them in the mid to late 90s. I'm pretty sure those are the five I would take for their overall play in the 90s though.
