Barkley was pretty amazing on the court and made a good Rocket in his short time here. But anonymous rep should stay that way imo.

Considering Gilbert Arenas is allowed to shower then teammate Nick Young with cash.. I don't see how rules and regulations to hush money couldn't be provided like so. Barkley gambles, have a couple games rigged his way at a Vegas table to eventually get his $3million under the table.

I know people say there's scrutiny under the books etc... But there's well over a million ways to pay somebody without the league knowing.

This is a tough one. For me, personally, it's a toss up between Pippen and Parsons.

And I was at the game after this, which was in LA -- both Barkley and Shaw were suspended. I sent a bouquet of flowers to the Staples Center to "Charles Barkley and the Houston Rockets" for the unselfish tactical decision to bait Shaq out of both games. I still don't know if he ever got them.

I wouldn't put him over Hakeem or Calvin as franchise all-time greats, but there were many times when Barkley carried the Big Three and I would still roll the dice to do the trade, given the chance all over. I'm grateful we got the end of Chuck's career in Houston and at a discount. If anyone wants to be bitter, their misery should be squarely directed at Pippen.

If he is your hero and role model, why not. To each his own.

But he isn't the biggest Rocket hero. He is more a Sixer and Phoenix Sun to me.

Simply because he accomplished more there and grew to be the player that he was there.

His altercation with Shaq in a Rockets jersey and against the Lakers is actually one of the most memorable incidents

Haha, definitely, I still have my Barkley Jersey somewhere... I know I joined forums late, but got to see him play in person plenty of times. He at least made the difference for Houston to get passed the Sonics (a year later after getting swept by the sonics). But Damn those Jazz man. Houston definitely would have matched up better with the Bulls, would have loved to see that series.

Yeah, very true, I liked seeing him with Rockets, but you're right. And I agree with you on fight, remember watching that live (well on TV... But you get what I'm saying).

That was the best and most truthful quote ever...

Right there with you HP on Barkley.

Couldn't agree more. Chuck was my favorite player when I started watching the NBA.

Quitten takes the cake by far. Parsons isn't even close to Pippen in terms of all time rockets POS
