Honestly, both of these seem to have gotten the joke wrong, like Morey said gynecologists have fun at work when he actually just said "just because you work with something doesn't mean you don't hum... enjoy that same thing in some form in your free time". It's a dumb joke, yeah. But I don't really see how it's sexist. And I'm a pretty sensitive guy (i.e. easily offended by offensive jokes), if anything.
Daryl needs to apologize ASAP. As much as I have and will continue to respect the man, this is very disappointing.

Why should a man apologize for liking something that almost every other man likes. It's like apologizing for liking meat because some vegans are offended. Give me a break.
So I woke up to this being a news on Yahoo. Great! The joke was a little crass but who cares! I don't get why people are all offended all of a sudden. It was a joke! And the media to actually pick this up and write 'articles' about it?! Totally absurd!
Morey should tweet the insincere but carefully worded apology the public relations department drafts for him. It doesn't really matter if anyone was offended or should have been. It's just what businesses do to make sure there's no turbulence to the flow of incoming dollars.
I thought it was funny, but we live in a world that you have to watch what you say if you're a major figure. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a small press release for an apology. Nice to know that ol' Murray is a man's man though! Hahahaha

Morey is one of the more visible GMs in sports. He interacts a lot on twitter, does a lot of radio interviews, etc and is very accessible which I feel contributes to him being such a fan favorite. I thought the joke was silly and corny and not the smartest thing to put out there but I don't think its as big of a deal as some are making it. Morey just needs to use more discretion.
He won't apologize for a joke. But I can see how it would come off as being offensive/insensitive considering that he is the General Manager of a large enterprise. Today is a new day and this will have fallen by the wayside by next week.
