Simple is good... but this thing is disgusting. I vant a new logo. :-[ Hey Tim, how long have you had a job with the Rockets, by the way? Is this your second brain-child?
I think we should all calm down. It seems like they are just giving us bits and pieces at a time. I think there is more to it. One thing is for sure we are definately moving on up from the old logo/uni. This could be just the secondary logo. Who Knows? I think we should wait and see the whole presentation first. Besides, it's all set now... there is nothing we can do to change it. My Opinion: If we start winning and go to the playoffs.. I love it!
I wonder how much the Rockets paid for that? Hell, I could have done something like this and saved them a helluva lot of money...

I am also a professional graphic designer, and I am not sure what to think. I do not know much about this award winner designer, but its pretty boring if you ask me. In my experience, dealing with the extreme client, this reminds me of a visual concept that probably took 6 months to create in meaning (not design). Another words think of a sculpture that the artist could write a novel on its meaning. To the normal, its a bunch of bent metal, to the artist its a moving creation of life represented by water flowing down the branches of life, which represents the racist behavior of man. GET IT! Another words a bunch of BS! Its ironic, that when I first was lookign at the logo, a girl with the Houston Rockets called me about an order she had with us. I asked her about the logo, but for whatever reason she did not really comment. I thought that was pretty funny.
Nomatter how long I look at it I just cant see it looking like an asian logo or lettering. I dont see where you guys get that from. It looks very sharp, mean, and intimidating! I love the simplicity of it over the other big bulky cartoon logo. It is all I hoped for and the more I go back and look at it the more I start liking it more and more.
I think this logo will grow on people that dislike it. The Astros logo is simple but I never hear any complaints. The Texans hit the jackpot on their logo, one of the nicest in all of sports, that is alot for the Rockets to live up to. Its defintely better than the old one. The one before that didnt become classy until many many years give this one some years. The Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, LA Lakers logo's didnt become classy overnight it takes years. Relax its just a logo you guys were expecting way to much.
I hear that. I was hoping for anything simple and small. Not a huge bulky logo with multiple colors. I dont see why people are complaining. In any case. I got what I wanted so I'll be happy for many years to come with this logo.
Don't really like it, i hope it does grow on me. I still think the jerseys will look good. When are those revealed?
I guess the Packers logo is not a logo either by your qualifications. Or the Yankees...I could go on and on.
