Sure. It's a major upgrade and it's likely he's perfectly happy with a long career in Houston playing next to Harden. Yeah the guy has inconsistencies shooting the three but so do half the Rockets... Hell pretty much all of them do and the team has no issues letting them fire away. Is he available though? I dunno. He's restricted so there is a chance like Phoenix with Bledsoe that it's better for them to resign him and hold onto his value that can be used later rather than give him up for peanuts.
He is trying to get out of OKC now! So he can get to another contender and show his stuff. If he is traded now he will have plenty of time to build up his trade value. And if he is not traded by the deadline...look for him to bust his a... for the remainder of the season to spike his value as much as possible. But until now and the trade deadline Reggie Jackson is going to be a huge distraction for OKC and he's most likely going to play like crap.
What is in the water at OKC? They draft so well. It is crazy. They must have Jonah Hill in the scouting department.
Dont want. I dont think he can coexist with Harden, and Westbrook/Durant are already sick of his hero ball late in games. I'd rather us go in a different direction if we want to upgrade at PG. Somebody will overpay for him.
I am OK with Reggie Jackson <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/_bD9uZQuLME" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Is it that they draft so well, or just have the best coaching staff for player development? It is nuts though. If they would've/could've paid Harden, they would have a legit Big 4 from their own drafting. Crazy.
It's not like they plucked guys from obscurity. Durant? #2 pick Westbrook? #4 pick Harden? #3 pick Ibaka was the only one who wasn't a lotto pick.
Reggie Jackson at 24 is a great pick Adams is a solid contributor for where they got him. The only guy that they really missed on is Jeremy Lamb thinking he was any good to trade Harden for.
I'd imagine that would be pretty hard to do because by then no one else would be in OKC. Durant gets his freedom in 2016 and Westbrick gets his freedom the year after that. Harden's contract runs until 2018
2014, 2 late first rounders, Mcgary & Huestis, nothing 2013, Steven Adams, solid rotation player, 12th pick 2012, 28th pick, Perry Jones, nothing 2011, 24th pick, Reggie Jackson, solid rotation player. 2010, both picks traded --------------------------------- I will take Royce White + Lamb + TJ + Dmo over these draft picks.
Reggie Jackson is miserable in OKC. He wants to start and is even more of an afterthought since Waiters arrived. Its affecting his play and he needs a change of scenery. Whether thats in Htown I'm not sure, but for the right price I'd definitely take him. Upgrade over our current PG situation for sure.
