Deal is now done. But Inter will loan him til summer and then buy him for 18mil. Couldn't buy him now because of FFP

Everything is going wrong for LFC. Gerrard is leaving and we lost out on Shakira to Inter, who is in a worse position in their league table. Nobody wants to play for LFC, not even other team's trash.

I've fully lost confidence in Rodgers, especially in his stupid transfer signings. Dude pissed away all of the Luis Suarez money for a load of mid-table type of players. And to top it off, there are rumors that Suarez might make a sensational comeback to the EPL (Chelsea, City, United). Plus it's only a matter of time that we lose Sterling to a Spanish giant.

Thank God I'm also a Rockets fan so I can at least follow a winning team.

Man Utd signed Victor Valdes today. Guess it's good bye Lindegaard and Amos. Good pickup.

Hope De Gea quashes those rumours linking him back to Spain. He's got 18 months left on that contract and hasn't signed an extension...

Nothing excites me more than signings of backup goalkeepers

I don't know, I think he will do well for Inter. Bayern was just too stacked for him, but I think he is a pretty good player. No player who totally sucks just scores 3 goals in a world cup match...

Yes! Lucho will lose this battle, he doesn't stand a chance. The stadium was empty yesterday but you could see a few posters paraphrasing here but "Messi the true King", "Messi is not for sale", "Messi the true leader" lol. Started chanting his name as they usually do but was weird because that's done after he scores or does an amazing run or play. Also Messi scored a PK right before halftime and immediately Lucho headed to the locker room, I didn't think much of it but the media is already blowing it out of proportion. I mean I don't think Lucho meant any harm by it but he's stupid enough to do that when he knows all the cameras are following both of them to get the slightest reaction to make a bid deal about it.

Pep is a pipe dream, brah! He'll probably come back some day but not now, way too soon. I don't think he leaves Bayern before winning ECL. We won against Elche but that scoreline to me is deceiving. I mean Elche is the worst team in LFP right now and we kind of sucked the first 35 minutes or so. The same monotone style of football with no ideas whatsoever. Basically waiting on a brilliant play from Messi or Neymar. Should be a hard fought match against Atleti.

Barcastat had a stat that says Messi leads the team with 71 chances created. Xavi is next with 27.

This team simply relies on Messi way too much. We can beat any team if Messi is in god mode, but that's asking too much even for the GOAT.

Europe's most intense Derby is today. Roma v Lazio. This years installment is even more intense as Roma are currently 2nd in Serie A, just one point behind Juve, while Lazio sit 9 points behind in 3rd.

Brendan Rodgers officially announces Jordan Henderson as Gerrard's successor as the next LFC skipper...

...and so begins the era of mediocrity.

Cowboys loss sucks, but Barca's win salvaged the day a little.

Anyone think Lacazette could be moved here in the transfer window. He is a promising young forward who is tearing it up in Ligue 1 with Lyon. I have to imagine he is on quite a few larger club radars.

How much do you think he is worth at the moment, and what do you think is the magic number that Lyon would move him for?

Don't think Lyon will sell him this window. Think I've only seen City and Liverpool in the news over Lacazette. City is buying Bony, and Liverpool. Well they've spent most of their Suarez money during the summer and Lyon's demands might be out of their price range.

I haven't seen him play but I've heard some good things about him. Lyon has him at £25m. So, guessing that if he continues his hot form to the end of the season and can gather some steam on his reputation, £25m-£30m might be about right. Who will pay it, I have no idea.

I should have known better than to expect any real decent signing by Liverpool. Rodgers seems hell bent on spending money on mediocre talent that nobody was really after. Sure, he's rumored to good players, but he loves them mediocre "potentials."

I wished John Henry would have hired a manager who has managed big CL clubs like Rijkaard or someone of that caliber. I doubt they'd settle for so-so talent.

Doesn't belong here, but it's just such a sweet goal.

That's why your players have to know the rules. Keeper shouldn't have touched it, can't score a direct goal on a throw-in.
