I watched him extensively when he played for Seattle a couple of years ago. He is nothing special. As juicystream mentioned, Jaso struggles against lefties. So yeah, trading a guy who can catch and DH but only against righties for a guy who can play the corner infield spots, the corner outfield spots or DH and can play everyday...pretty much a steal.
