the early 2000s was fun.. anyone remember when that rainbow guts aka tequila sunrise astros jersey was in every rap video..
I think a solid case could be made for this decade. Especially when convening to business attire. I really think its sad that suits+ties aren't made obligatory in certain fields anymore. Had professionalism and class to it. Nowadays a shirt, loafers and khakis will do and I think that's just sad.
While I don't think the 70's were the worst, those mofos were HAIRY. Watch some 70's p*rn and you'll see what I mean.
True, but even sport coats will run you $300 now, and suits are a pain in the ass to maintain. What kills me is not the shift away from suits, but people getting excited when we "get to wear blue jeans" on a close day or something. Also, as someone who's worn them every single day since college, mid-market ties have become very poorly made. $50 - 60 per and they're ripping in the back after a month or two.
The thing is, shorts were like this from the very beginning up until the early '90s and either Jordan or the Fab Five. I assume stuff in the '80s was at least made of some kind of mesh as opposed to tight, soggy polyester (or cotton, my god) before then.
