Melo is an immediate chemistry killer. Chemistry killers are not keys to a championship

That trade could have been unbelievable from a draft pick standpoint, but the draft swap one year proved worthless and the pick the other year turned out to be Royce White.

Ugh. Wish we had acquired Harden BEFORE the draft. Then we probably would've kept Dragic, and we wouldn't have drafted Royce. I know.....ifs, ands, and buts. Still....the timing of the trade could've been better.

It was nothing compared to what Denver got for Carmelo Anthony LOL, and the sad thing was NYC could've had Melo for free!

why would Dragic have been gone?

The entire direction of this team shifted when we acquired Harden. We went from tankapolousa (a starting lineup of Lin, Martin, Parsons, Patterson, and Asik) to playoff contention.

If we had traded for Harden on draft night, we would have shifted into win now mode (but not win at all costs mode). The player option would not have been a hang up. Dragic is on this team, as is Dwight, and we still have the NOP 1st for Asik. Parsons also might still be on this team.

I don't blame Morey for it.....he can't control timing. Just wish the trade would've been just a few months earlier.

Knicks were doomed when they gave Amare that $100M contract. He didn't have the decency to agree to a paycut after he got major surgery

"Looking for the soft landing of a consulting job with the team that last won a championship when he was ambling up and down the floor in short-shorts, Jackson instead wound up with a $60 million contract. Zen-sanity!

Jackson tried to hire Steve Kerr, who proved smarter than Jackson anticipated by taking the Golden State Warriors job instead."

    Lol

The funny thing is, they were playing good basketball with Amare and that depth on the team. They went down after trading away the depth for Melo.

Dragon would be gone this season instead of then. Because Lin had to go for Bosh attempt, and everything that followed.

Dragon going when he did, in a "good for the team" and "good for him" way, means, he can come back happy =)
