Malick has been working out twice a day since he arrived in Houston and he looked very tired in that video, so don't be too quick to judge his game on 3 minutes of video late in a workout. The kid has a sweet 12-15 foot jumper and can take it hard to hole. If he has a good couple of games at the Summer League do not be surprised if the Rockets keep him here to develop. He is excited to be with Houston and plans to work his tail off to try and make the team. More to come as I hear it......
If that's the case, I wonder why Rockets.com didn't show clips from earlier in the workout. That may give a better impression of the Badiane's skills.
o3gs, thanks for the inside scoop. Its always better to hear about workouts and practices from someone on the inside..hope to hear more from you in the future.
I thought the only decent part of his game was the defense and rebounding. Last I heard, he has little to no offensive game. I thought that was why he was raw. If they consider him 2 year project, how sweet is the shot. at 12-15 feet, how much farther out must he develop it. Off the subject, I just saw moochie on channel 2 with the fro chopped off. Whats he good for now?
nothing i guess. i only wanted to keep him because he is an "nba personality". meaning, people know of him not because of his game but his look. he used to be the little guy with the big fro, now he is worth trading.
