A few games back, Bullard mentioned on the air that teams were complaining to the league about harden getting too many free throws. Looking at his game logs, there is a noticeable change in harden's free throws. The last 6 games he has failed to reach 10 free throw attempts. His longest streak of such games prior to this one is 3. Included in that stretch is a 0 fta performance and a three fta performance. He has no other games this year that low. Is harden being consciously officiated differently? Or is he playing differently? Or do teams defend him better now?
He's had stints like this before with calls not going his way. It'll change back, I'm sure. Not worried about it.
This is why I ask. It's just so odd that right when Bullard says that on the air, all of sudden the rockets are being treated differently.
No Harden is just making bad decisions. The last few games he's been driving head on traffic into the player even when the player had no hands near his arms. He's lucky that he's not getting called offensive. What he needs to start doing is making better decisions whether to draw the foul, or just euro and score. He's doing what he was doing last year at a certain point which is focusing too much on drawing the foul instead of scoring.
and just now he is pulled to the ground for a non call and the refs call a jump ball despite the other guy nit even having s hand on the ball and James calling for a timeout.
Yeah it's getting weird. The Rockets as a team seem to be getting less fouls called for them now also.
Yes, the refs changed and aren't giving him foul calls. It's obvious he's not getting the same calls he always has gotten.
Today definitely see some weird no calls, but most I don't have a problem with. You see what happens when Harden stops looking for the foul when driving? He either gets the call, AND 1 maybe or he finishes...
Funny, I was just about to make this poll. Interesting stat I looked up; he is looking like he is about to go his 7th straight game with single digit FTAs. That would be the longest such streak since 2012 with the OKC Thunder. Last season he had a streak of 6 games with single digit FTAs but they totaled 40. The last 6 games he has had only 27 FTAs.
How do you adjust when you drive into the basket and someone (or more than one person) hacks your arms?
Hate that sort of statement. Refs suddenly stop calling fouls when they've calledthe, his entire career and he is supposed to just adjust, easier said than done, especially when he is actually being fouled.
He drives in looking for the foul. p***y ass ****. Try something else. Do something else. What you're doing ain't working or they ain't calling. Or sure, go right ahead, keep hoping for the foul and complain when it's not there!
