So no other team in the league has as much talent as the Cavs? Pieces that actually fit every need mind you? Right......

Both picks are protected so they will be crappy (OKC one becomes 2 2nds in 2 years if it isnt crappy enough). If the Cavs could have traded Waiters plus Memphis pick (protected) for Mozgov Shumpert and Smith, would they do it? All day IMHO. They have done well out of Waiters.
What are you talking about? First of all Cleveland wasn't stacked in the first place, all they had were Irving, Varejao and Wiggins. Guys like Waiters, Thompson etc these are all average run of the mill players. Even the roster now with all these "win now" moves is just a solid team you make it sound like the roster is stacked with multiple all stars. Secondly guys like Shawn Marion, Jones and Miller are a benefit for having Lebron, these are vets who signed for the minimum just to play with Lebron why do you act like these are players who Cleveland had to make room for just to fit LBJ's play style? Marion and Miller for the minimum are bargains and worth more than the trash Cleveland had at those roster spots they weren't obtained just to fit with LBJ, they were recruited because they are deals at below market value. Finally any player can make demands but it up to the FO to put to make decisions at the end of the day. Chances are you're a Kobe fanboy so you blocked it from your memory but Kobe at one time demanded more talent on the Lakers, he said he would go to the Clips after he was the one who run Shaq out of town and blasted the FO for not trading Bynum for O'Neal and his bloated contract. But the Lakers ignored him and eventually managed to trade for Pau Gasol instead. That's the diff between a great FO, the great FO has a plan and sticks to it, the crappy FO listens to someone else so they don't have to take responsibility and still keep their job when the move blows up. The Wiggins trade is still the worst trade IMHO in recent memory, all indications are that Love will bolt in the summer...possibly for the Lakers.
You know, last time LeBron was in Cleveland he basically acted as their GM. I remember him demanding they sign guys like Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison. The end result was that they sucked. Then he bailed. Now he is back, and I keep hearing he is pushing a lot of these moves the team is making. I wonder if LeBron knows he is an awful GM? If this team can't get it done, they are screwed. Draft picks are a really important part of acquiring talent in trades.
I really thought it was 2 2nds when I saw it on the ESPN Ticker when I got home late last night. But damn, 2 1st is overpaying! Mozgov is a nice player but Asik got had for one semi-protected 1st and Asik is so much better and more of a rim protector that Movgov. Cavs did get better because they have a center now, but the Nuggets got away with robbery.
Why are late first rounders valued so much? I'll never understand that. So many of them end up being worthless.
