Watched the whole thing and enjoyed it for the most part. The guy that plays Jarvis is great. And I'm in love with Hayley Atwell good lawd that is a sexy woman.
Yeah, I didn't watch it, I'll never watch it, but I'll stop by in here if y'all are posting pics of her.
Nah, I didn't watch it -- was playing Destiny. I really was only going to tune in for the Ant Man trailer anyway. I'll probably try to watch it later, but I just can't see the draw. Yeah, Hayley is a very attractive woman but I can see that anywhere. Also I don't believe it's a mini-series. They've already said there can be a second season. Like I said; I don't see the draw.
Guggenheim: Because Tara and I have been married 10 years now and that entitles me to a larger share of her earnings, I feel compelled to ask you guys to make clear: This isn't eight and done; there is still the potential for a second season, right? Fazekas and Butters: Yes! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/agent-carter-showrunners-grilled-by-759932
It might have been better if it was a shorter miniseries. Maybe a four parter, because I really don't know how much content they will have over 7 parts to keep me interested. Although I will say the first two parts were much more interesting then I ever expected. And yeah, Hayley makes it easy to keep watching, lol
How come? - Hayley Atwell - Hayley Atwell's accent (so good). - Period drama (for the most part). - Backstory to some of Marvel characters who otherwise wouldn't have gotten one It's a bit like AoS, where you can treat it as its own show, or have it intertwine with the Marvel universe. Obviously, the experience is better doing the latter, but from what I've seen so far (15 or so minutes), it could stand on its own for the most part. You just have to care about Howard Stark as a character / know who he is. Anyway, back to watching.
1. So? 2. So? 3. So? 4. Soooooo? To each his own, I'm not saying you can't be interested in it but, that's a whole lot of meh to me. I need more than an attractive woman with an attractive accent on a TV show to entertain me.
I enjoyed both hours, thought Atwell was great. Enjoyed a lot more than the first few episodes of SHIELD
Breh, I'm just listing some of the pros. Why don't you at least watch the first episode of the show, instead of superficially judging it solely based on "an attractive woman with an attractive accent?" After finishing the pilot, it's a lot more than that particular criterion. Marvel hasn't exactly screwed up any of its properties yet (except maybe part of the first season of AoS). I think Marvel did well with Agent Carter. Deeper takeaways than just "Hayley Atwell and her bewbs": - Rampant sexism is rampant - Woman empowerment - No "will they, won't they" between Jarvis and Peggy (refreshing) - So many angles (Leviathan, what Stark has planned, male detectives perhaps being emasculated) I hope they don't bring a love interest into this series for Peggy, but I'm thinking the handicapped fella might be it.
I feel you, I just meant for me personally those weren't big enough reasons for me to watch. I guess I just like my Marvel stuff super-powered. I'm not a fan of agents of shield either, though I have seen some solid episodes here and there. I'm not saying the show can't be good, just not my particular cup of tea. I'll watch a bit of it at some point, I just can't see myself watching the whole season.
Gotcha. I'd definitely give it a shot. Not a bad show, at all. Although the one-shot Agent Carter and this series don't really add up? In the one-shot, Carter was about to run Shield with Stark, but in this series, they completely dropped that plot point. I guess they're either banking on people not having watched the one-shot, forgetting what happened in it, or basically not caring about it. One of the three.
I don't remember the one shot too well, but maybe those events take place after this mini-series. Did the one shot take place directly after the events of the first Cap?
