I voted McHale. I understand and appreciate that the players tend to like him... but many of the player issues cited (too many threes, poor FT shooting, too many TOs, etc) can be pointed back to coaching.

This team needs less Luther Head shooting performances.

I agree. I'll just add that our point differential was pedestrian versus a rather soft schedule. Things are starting to balance out now.

I'm not going to jinx it, but Dec was pretty tough. However, Jan is a little more easier load on us.

The Rockets have lost 5 of their last 8 since Dwight returned.
2/5 since Josh Smith joined the team.

We turned the ball over 19 times tonight and the Pelicans 18. Against the Hornets we turned it over 16 times and them 14.

Is it our defense? You keep hearing the expression offense starts with good defense, and the Pelicans kept scoring right after they got a stop on us. I only watched the first half btw.

It's the curse of Jerry Lin. He left the Knicks, they are now the most pathetic team in the NBA other than the Sixers. He left the Rockets, now we have Josh Smith

Honestly, I change my vote to we had an easy schedule and got lucky in a few OT games because Harden saved us. We beat up bad teams and struggle against good teams.

Can someone tell me the last good team we beat that was not injured? The Mavs? Yeah Harden saved us.

Where is the option for we're not that great and playing better teams?

Dude we gotta give ariza a good rest . he had no legs its obvious. I mean we have 2 back up 3s I can't watch him shoot himself dead anymore McHale did this last year too. By the playoffs, the starters were way to tired

We've played better teams all year. We've played the Spurs, blew them out. We've blown out Memphis, we've beat memphis twice.

We beat Dallas...WE've beat good teams, some times hurt...

That's not what is going on here. You don't go 22-10 in the west, you don't play 32 games in the West while only playing bad teams. Half of the conference is over .500. Only 5 teams in the west are below 500, we've been playing and beating good teams. This is something else.

I would trade Dwight Howard right now for Rick Carlisle! Look at what hes doing to Rondo and Parsons!! Holding them accountable by making them improve on all their previous weaknesses...

We beat the Spurs without there best player Tim Duncan. Also, Manu rested that game. They beat us with Duncan and Manu off the bench with Parker and Kawhi out.

The Grizz beat us by 26 when we were fully healthy. They lost to us by 9 in a game where Randolph and Gasol played 19 and 25 minutes respectively. Randolph looked hurt. The next time we beat them in overtime we won because they didn't have Randolph and Vince Carter was stuck guarding Josh Smith.

So our only wins vs good teams with there top players healthy are the Grizz and the Mavs. The Spurs with Parker and Kawhi as there top players early in the season when the Spurs are still resting after going on a championship run? meh.

The fact is we will play a team at least as good as the Pelicans in the playoffs seven times.

We need a pg. We have one star on this team in Harden, in my eyes, Howard isn't really a star and that's ok. He's someone who can do a lot of things well when healthy. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is not entirely healthy.

Harden can't do it all himself. Every Batman needs a Robin or two. Howard can't be Robin. Nor can Smith. A Robin still had to be able to carry the load at times - and by that lead his team. Take the ball anywhere and turn it into points. Solid in all aspects of the game and great at either getting good shots off or creating them for others.

    Howard can't do that.

    Nor can Smith

    Nor Ariza

    Nor Bev

Dmo is intriguing but he's not there yet.

This team will continue to struggle against the best teams or teams that have the front line to give ours problems until we get a real pg who can break down defenses.

Once we do that our defense will improve because guys will be less frustrated.

We really haven't had a steady starting lineup/sub rotation all season due to injuries. Once that becomes consistent and get their chemistry down, the sky is the limit. (As long as the effort is there!)
