Was hitting a few sites today and discovered Collier has already signed with Golden State's Summer Pro League. I wonder what else J. Boylen plans on moving to GS. I wish him the best and hope he can make the team. I'm sure he'll have a helping hand on the coaching staff.

Now, with the coaching staff in place I wonder if we'll make any (quality)off-season additions. This will go down as one of the most memorable offseasons and for us to just stand pat would be awful, especially with so many teams fine tuning their roster. The stillness coming out our front office is deffoning. Pick up a phone, show a pulse. There are so many players, good players, available that we can finally put players like Hawkins back in the NDBL until they're ready.

A player I'd like to see in Rox gear is Juwan Howard. He's a good post player, with above average skills who isn't looking to break the bank. He just finished a 7 year 105 mill contract he was heavily critizied on so money isn't a major concern anymore. He just wants to win and doesn't mind taking a lesser role to achieve that. Howard, 30, is willing to take the 4.9 MCE on a good team looking to make a push in the playoffs. Howard said he isn't going to visit any teams, just listen to offers and make a decision quickly, within a week or so. Dallas, Detroit, Minn. , and Orlando are all pitching offers although I believe Orlando offers the most playingtime and potential. Only Orlando covets P.J. Brown more so than Howard.

Also, Denver is starting to look more like a sinking ship, with Kidd and Arenas seemingly avoiding Kiki due to major salary hitches.

Insert Rox, I believe we could lure Howard to sign with us if we offer MoTaylor in a sign and trade to Denver. We would still have our MCE plus Howard could start with Eddie still developing a post presence. He would be a positive role model over Mo in the locker room and a better scorer with more back to the basket moves. He is a legit 4 who I wouldn't mind paying Mo's salary. He might prefer 7-8 mill to the 4.9 other teams can offer. I think he would complement Yao very nicely and Mo could help Denver sign Kandi or which ever Clipp they decide to go after. Mo's not a bad option considering O'neal, Brown, Kidd, and Arenes are all fading possibilities.

Last I checked Sam Cassell was tring to lure Juwan to the frozen tundra.

I wouldn't even consider signing Howard outright since all of our pfs would have the same strengths and the only way I trade for him is if they take Mo or Mooch. However, that won't happen seeing as how Kiki has worked so hard to get the cap space he has and he would be throwing it all away taking on a contract like Mo or Mooch's. If i'm Kiki, I'd like to sign Howard but I don't really mind him leaving in return for nothing. He's got all the cap space he could want and Howard simply isn't that big of an asset.

you can have all the cap space you want, if no players want to come there, what good is it? He might take Mo's , never mentioned anything about Mooch, unless we know he's smoking crack or something, you never know. Also Mo does all things well, master of none. Juwan is a much better scorer in the paint with a smaller medical and drug record.;)

No one wants Mo Taylor........ and no one is going to eat up cap space in a sign and trade. You want to move Mo, expect to get someone elses trash back (like Booth or Baker or another useless player). Mo Taylor will be a rocket for better or worse.......

I think we need to be a little more patient with the Mo & eddie show. Both are really young, Mo was back way early from a devastating injury, Eddie is just coming into NBA age. Add one more physical big guy to go with Cato, a 4-5 that can bang , and we have an excellent front line. A 2-3 swingman that can defend and we are a contending team. If Yao has a quantum level of improvement and Posey comes back stronger, we can compete with the Western teams.

We dont have to give up Taylor, because Howard is a restricted freeagent. I would just give them a future 1st round draft pic in exchange. If Howard would sign with us that would be great. Posey would play bench, which is what we need. Posey,Taylor,Cato coming off bench is a great boost. He probably knows if he signed here rockets would be pretty good. Maybe Posey could talk with Howard and lure him to the MLE. Lets hope so!......

    Roger that.

Hey...could you hit up a few more sites and see if Terence Morris has ended up anywhere?

Okay. I'd like another Wolverine. Juwan Howard would be great. Good veteran. Maybe a good teacher. He and Patrick could hang out together....with Glen Rice. We need some veterans.

If we just signed him for the MLE, then I don't know how we could split the playing time. Mo and Eddie both need to play.

I'd definitely trade Mo for Juwan. I don't think Denver would. They need scoring though....maybe they would.

I hope Houston is trying to get him.

He's a power forward. The only time he played sf was when he was with Webber.

The report is Howard will sign with Twolves. I would rather get PJ Brown than Howard. A better defensive PF in PJ is more useful than a better scorer PF in Howard. All PJ requires is also MLE, about 4.8 mil next year.

Don't feel to bad for Collier. How many other jobs do you know of that allows you to ride pine and be on the injured list your first few years and get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars?

Anyone with NBA.com TV can watch Jason Collier try to make a name for himself in the Summer Pro League, game starts in just a few minutes. Golden State vs. Los Angeles Lakers...
