    The best advice that I can give you is to just read the forums (hangout mainly because the GARM's quality is not what it used to be) and after a month or two, you should be *able* to figure out who is an "all-star" here.

    One of the biggest mistakes I made here was finding the site and registering to post the next day. I should have lurked for at least a month, probably longer. And believe me I took some lumps here for the first couple of months but I finally learned that instead of always trying to draw attention to myself with outrageous and gimmicky type things, it was better to just read a thread and respond with a thoughtful response or witty one.

    that's a very insightful comments... but recruiting all these posters & moderators to establish a top team is certainly no easy task, any ideas how that can be done? :D

    That reason alone would require considerable surviving skills :D

    By the way, although this thread hasn't turnout to be what I initially had in mind, but in a diffrent way it served the purpose of this thread. I would like to say that most you guys posting on this thread are showing some real class here... certainly deserved to be an all-star or considered to be an all-star...

    What I really liked about some of the feedbacks:

    - Offer genuine advices with respect even to new posters
    - Give comments while while having some fun - isn't that the main reason why we are posting here on the bbs?
    - Do all the above without showing superiority or bashing the newbies :D

    Now I hope I can do the same here :D

    Okay, Okay, Okay...coming late to this discussion, as i am, and also being presently a little bit, how you say, drunk, I have well thought and and insightfull hints about how to become an All-Star poster:



    1) First thing you gotta do is get a snappy name...Batman Jones is cool...DaDakota is cool, even though I can't for the life of me figure out what it means...windandsea is mysterious...BobFinn* has that asterix thing working for him...

    9) Next thing you need is some kind of signature style...Mrs. JB prefers the Parthian shot from the balcony...Manny is all about being a nice guy...B-Bob likes irreverance...T_J likes to close cases, and Another Brother goes for that whole cool and funny thing...plus he's black, so we feel obligated to laugh, even if we don't get the joke ;)...Jeff is so well thought out and reasonable it will drive you bonkers, and HP is kinda spooky...

    16) Next, and this is very important, you gotta learn how to do this: * MacBeth makes a weird wiggly hand gesture near his right ear, while simultaneously burping Happy Trails*...

    3) Lastly, you have to have opinions...on everything...if you have nothing to say, say it...loud if possible. But don't suggest trades that you thought up yourself, don't attack players because they 'suck!', and don't get into ESPN board style keyboard a keyboard trials of testostorone...


    Oh...and whatever you do, don't post *hic* drunk...It's like a good guard dog, it seems to be just along for the ride, but it gets you in the end.

    Lol! I can see what you mean, but I'm actually making reference to a specific conversation AB and I had a while back, and I'm sure he gets it. Besides, I think PG knows my stance on these issues now, and wouldn't be confused, even if I wasn't talking about something AB and I talked about...
