Betrayal dont expect anything then you will be excited by the very minor moves that the Rockets might make.

    betrayal,
Simmer down, killer. I don't think O'neal really fits in here. Some one is always pointing out that we need some bruiser/enforcer to have Yao's back. I wouldn't describe O'neal as either of those.

Plus, can you have 3 20 ppg. scorers on the same team in todays NBA? I know,I know, Steve's scoring goes down because he's distributing the ball to these two studs....riiiiiiight.

Here's the thing, Its been said repeatedly that you don't need an all-star at every position. I submit that you CAN'T. This ain't 1985 and that ain't magic johnson.

Why does everyone keep harping about things that you got to know will never happen?

You now, thinking about the pacers, the guy I think you could get is Artest. He melted the whole franchise down single handedly last year. I bet they move HIM with all the free agents they have. I read somewhere that was one of the moves management was going to make to get JO t stay.

My personal feelings are that he's a head case and wouldn't want him on the team but, what do you think?..............Im' not sure, but I think I just shot myself down on that one.

On the SW Report they said that the only teams on O'neal's list are the Spurs and Mavs. I cant see him playing 2nd option to Duncan. Brand will end up in S.A. and O'neal will resign in Indy.

That's what I was wondering. I checked the Pacers' roster and it still has them. All the other rosters are up-to-date as well, (EX:Cassel trade.) I thought I missed a trade in principle or something.

And in case you don't believe me for some strange reason...

Jermaine will not be a Rocket and how many threads about this guy are we gonna start before we realize it ain't gonna happen, he will resign with Pacers. Give our team some time with JVG.

There was some confusion there. The Hawks originally drafted Tinsley two years ago but traded him to the Pacers for this years #21 pick which they turned into Boris Diaw.

"We"? I'm thinking it's the same guy using different screen names to start them all.

If the coaches really believe Yao Ming and Steve Francis are the main two centerpieces then they need to surround them with experienced vets.

Gary Payton. Eric Snow. Jon Barry. Alvin Williams. Travis Best - these are the main guards the Rockets should go after.. to play alongside Francis.

    A. Mourning. PJ Brown. Brian Grant. Derick Coleman. Antonio Davis
-- these are the big men the coaches should go after.. to play alongside Yao.

Vets bring consistency and thats what this team needs most.

If we can get two of those guys in trade, say for example, Best/Grant or Snow/Coleman or Williams/Davis and then sign another one from that list through freeagency, say, a Barry or Brown, then it will be a perfect summer.

Texas Stroke You are on the right track and like myself and all the fans you only wish good things for the Rockets. By all indications I dont think we should hold our breath awaiting the big Splaaaaash! This team is not going to add anyone that will bring a significant improvement in the Roster. The Management seem to be pinning their hopes that JVG will perform Magic on our big five and turn them into a team playing Team Basketball.

Brand will not end up in SA. He is a restricted FA, and the Clips have already offered what is essentially a max deal. If SA signed him to the max, Clips would match. SA has nothing to offer in a sign and trade, and it is unlikely that they will sit and keep their cap space open and wait for Brand for next year (assuming that he takes a 1 yr deal to become a FA next season).

They may end up with O'Neal, but I am wondering about that now, as neither Duncan or O'Neal wants to play center. I think O'neal may end up back in Pacerland.
