wowow. dragic next. minus some injuries this year (that really could have been a positive to get other guys exp) this year could not have gone better even in my wildest of wild dreams.
??? JSmoove - - or Dragic? ??? The first seems set in wojstone but the latter is too fluid for me to feel any optimism.
Welcome to clutchfans. For now, d mo will still get his minutes (maybe 20 a night at the pf slot) and he will back up howard. D mo coming off the bench might be even better. He will get his touches in the post and be the number one option. He will run the pick and roll twice to keep the defense moving and shifting from one side to the other and get his post up if there are no bigger mismatches. I am so glad we got him. There will always be a few annoying posters that think we are the best team in the nba and we dont need to take small risks to get better.
Interesting take. I do agree you should never give one man so much power to run your organization, but lets be honest. Smith to detroit made no sense. Smith is bat at PF and they were forced to play him at the three where he had to space the floor. SFs close out much quicker that PFs and you do not gain nearly as much of an advantage. PFs will be forced to guard him at the wing/corner 3 because he can still knock down that shot if he is left alone. This will open up the paint by bringing out ibaka to the three point line and give harden and howard room to operate. Dumars was a bad gm. He kept screwing the pistons over and over again.
the rockets have the best transition defense in the league. Brewer, smith, and ariza. Smith and howard--block city
I like the Josh Smith signing a lot. But to promise a starting spot before he even plays a game for us is a bit questioning to me. First dmo has been playing well and Josh Smith hasn't this season. I mean common the pistons are paying him to be away from the team rather then be a guy on the bench. That's pretty bad. Josh Smith has a lot of talent and I'm very excited to see what he does with us, especially since its not costing much. But he needs to first build chemistry with our team and prove himself before he should get starter minutes.
That is not it for me, I think Dmo is a better player than Smith - taller, plays within himself, and is just now coming into his own. I will cheer for Smith on the Rox of course, but these last 2 years have been pretty telling, his athleticism is fading, and his shooting is terrible. He is better than Black or Dorsey - but I would rather roll with TJo and Dmo - you need a good mix of veteran and youngster to win. DD
Sure, but there will be plenty of time for both Smith and DMo, regardless of who starts. Starting Smith is mostly managing Smith's ego and making the best of DMo's post scoring ability with Dwight off the court. We don't know when TJones will be back, so this is what you call an easy win for the Rockets. All this signing does is reduce or eliminate minutes for Black/Dorsey.
