what do you guys think, he is a pretty physical player, to come in , get in the 8-9 man rotation, he would give us some solid minutes and some boards? replace Terrence Morris with some Gary Trent
just a thought, seeing that we need a little muscle off the bench..that and i didnt want NOBODY to not answer my post, so I pulled a runninghorns .....
well I am thinking that EG and MTaylor will be our starting forwards, unless we make some sort of "splash" ...(Les Alexanderism)... and I think that he is way better and more inept to come in and grab some boards and put up a few points, he is alot better than Terrence Morris is, I mean Maurice Taylor, I never really figured out what he is, he is tall, big...but too soft to be a power forward, he hardly gets boards, but too slow to guard the quicker small forwards, Hopefully he comes into camp this season in shape and he can play a full season
Gart Trent for the vet mimimum is not a bad idea if we can't find a better starting 4 via trade or MLE. He be a good 9th, 10th man--I like Horry for this role as well (veteran 3rd PF that offers something differant than MO/EG as the 9th, 10th man).
I've always thought Trent was a pretty good backup PF, and I didn't realize he was a FA, or I would have started this post. Count me in.
He was really tearing it up for Dallas a few years ago but then he got injured. He's one of the strongest people in the league and would be a great backup for us.
I think it is a great idea. Our number one need is a thug to protect Ming. Ming is the center of our offense and needs a bodyguard like Hakeem had Thorpe.
