What very Clutchfans-esque post. We would've celebrated like this if we landed Rondo, but then we railed on Dallas for the signing. We also would've railed on any team that signed Smith. :p

No mention of it on ESPN (TV) yet, that's weird.

Josh Smith... A SF/PF shooting 39% from the field, 60% from FT line. Amazing.

Who's to say that josh smith will get tons of minutes? If he gets 30 min a game that still leaves DMO with 18 min at power forward plus a min of 12 + at center. Also I could see DMO getting more time at pf depending on match ups and the flow of the game. MCcale shouldn't be afraid to yank smith if he is sucking in favor of DMO and won't get repercussions bc it is still harden and dwights team.

Also Dwight should be limited to 30 to 35 min a game to keep him healthy which should mean plenty Of minutes for DMO. This could work.

I don't think he wants to continue taking that much of DET money. So he will ask for a bigger contract from HOU starting next year.

An integrity move is how I see it.

Conspiracy Theory: TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!?

In less than one week, Morey the Wizard added depth and experience to our bench. A big turn of events for a team that has been plagued with injury throughout the season. But how did the wizard accomplished all of this in such a short span of time? Did Morey finally sold his soul to the cookie monster? Did Morey threatened the other teams that he will release their dirty laundry? Maybe it's due to our personnel connections with the other teams, that they decided to helped us since there is no reason for them to compete this season.

If we look back at the previous transactions in the last five days, we can see a pattern. Flip Saunders, the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves (A BOTTOM FEEDER TEAM), helped us get Corey Brewer for Troy Daniels and a second round pick. Morey probably used Kevin McHale's connection to pull this trade. Whilst the reason why they decided to sign McHale for the next three years after the successful trade.

Along with the Daniels for Brewer trade was the transaction with the Sixers. Sam Hinkie, the general manager of the Philadelphia Sixers (ANOTHER BOTTOM FEEDER TEAM), gave us Alexey Shved for a second round pick. A player we could add in a trade to match salaries. For those of you who do not remember, Sam Hinkie was part of the Red Nation a couple of years ago.

Finally, a complete head scratcher, the Pistons (AGAIN, ANOTHER BOTTOM FEEDER TEAM) decided to waive Josh Smith. We just now realized that he will be signing with us after he clear his waiver. But, why would the Pistons waive him? Unless Dwight Howard convinced Stan Van Gundy to release his friend so he could play for us!

As a Rockets fan, if this is a dream, don't pinch me because we might finally reach the second round after multiple years of mediocrity and first round exits.

    JS positional analysis:
    Josh Smith SF PF C
    2012-13 13% 77% 10%
    2013-14 56% 43% N/A
    2014-15 20% 80% N/A

Pretty easy to see one of his primary problems. At PF all his performance stats go up. At SF JS is abysmal. The more time at the 3 the worse he got. Running JS at or near 100% at the 4 will help him tremendously.

They are traded to give Smith more minutes. After all, there aren't a lot of SFs/PFs in this league that shoot under 40%. Truly an amazing talent.

So your point is... if other teams do terrible signings we should too.

For those who are ruing DMo going back to the bench unit, just remember DMo vs. Davis in the Pellies game.

DMo is still learning how to play vs. the elite defenders. Let him gain some more experience. Let's see how JSmith does on our team.

YES, he's a better player and you will see that. D MO will flourish with the 2nd team. Josh is a better defender, rebounder and is a beast in transition. No worse 3 point shooter than d mo, defensively and overall he's a better pizza lol
