You keep Terry in this instance...his lockerroom presence is Battier level. Guys like Howard and Harden actually listen and respect him for what he has accomplished too. Allen (as one of his biggest fans) is known for being a hot head coattail rider.
If you think about it tangentially now looking back ... Morey acquired James Harden, the first piece to the puzzle, who was all offense and no defense, then slowly filled the rotation with top flight defensive players around him. Even though Harden has improved this year, it is very smart to offset your superstar's weakness by surrounding him with these type of players. Bev, Ariza, Smith, Dwight ... that will offset a heck of a lot of weakness on the defensive end, which isn't quite as big of an issue as it used to be.

The easy looks to the basket just off the doubles on Harden/Howard will immediately help this team. I love this move. He can rebound, play defense, finish at the rim at an elite level, has athleticism. This is a blessing that fell into Morey's lap. We should be thankful this holiday season as we should always be.
I am not as well versed as some in salary cap so please excuse my ignorance, but why does it have to be one or the other? Couldn't we eject out Johnson for example to sign him?
