Seems like an odd choice. He'll never start for the Clips. He at least has a shot at the starting 4 spot here(although I still think D-Mo's more than earned it). And wouldn't there be more minutes available here with the T-Jones injury? Griffin and Jordan will get the lion's share of the playing time at 4 and 5 in L.A., and I'm pretty sure Smith doesn't wanna be putting in too many minutes at the 3.
No way he signs with LA Clippers at 1.4 mil plus being tax on that to boot. 2 mil no state income tax plus playing with your best friend is no brainer.
Amen, Let's. Not only am I excited about what he could add to our roster, I'm also excited that we are keeping him OFF the rosters of LAC/DAL
Bobby is trying to set the record for threads ruined in a calendar year. Just one more week! Go Bobby Go!
I'm just saying he'd be dumb to go to the Clippers OVER the Rockets. He'd fit better here than there.
By no means am I giving up on Jones, he can be (and already is when healthy) a very good player in this league. His health is a question mark this season though so it'd be good to bolster the frontcourt depth. If Jones gets healthy, then we figure out what to do with four legit rotation guys up front.
I think it's hilarious how the popular opinion shifted once it became a legit possibility that we could get JSmith. Everyone thinks he's a cancer, then they realize he's coming here and all of a sudden he's fine... I for one have always been a fan of getting Smith to Houston!
Best post on the whole Josh Smith thing. IF he comes here and ruins our locker room and chemistry than these guys were not going to go very deep any ways. I think about all the mess Kobe's teammates and Kobe's coach had to deal with when he won 5 championships. He's way too cheap right now to pass up on any ways.
I can't believe there's anti-Josh Smith contingent on ClutchFans...for $2 million for the rest of the season. What happened to in Maury we trust?
Can you imagine Smoove mentoring DMo? I REALLY hope he starts rockin' the headband alongside him for the keks.
I think the key factor is the price. If he doesn't work out, you can cut him, bench him, etc., and you aren't going to be financially ruined because he only costs $2 million.
