Well, there you go. Rockets training staff stands from faint. Obvious exceptions are Papa and Canaan, and I'm guessing, Jones. Harden, Howard, Beverley, and Ariza fit the description though.

Hopefully, this means better health the rest of the year, now that we have some depth.

Is he referring to himself? Obviously T-Jones ain't fatigue. Neither was Papa or Canaan. Terry only missed time for the birth of his daughter. Black was out early in the season, so I doubt he was tired. Who's that leave? Bev? Was his hammy not really hurt(twice)?

I thought great coaches like pop knew when to rest their players better than they do?

How cute, we heard the same thing a month ago last year.

Can the coach be "coach" enough to pull guys out of the game when they need a break and not say "Well, it's just basketball. They aren't laying bricks in the hot sun on a 99 degree day." :p

    He's making a good point.

Harden can't keep it up at this rate. He'll fatigue and it will hurt us in the playoffs. They did what they needed until reinforcements came. Now it's time to right the ship.

Yeah, yeah, I get it. These coaches are "old school". Asking for a break, asking for a game off? That's like foreign language to them. Huh? Break? What?

McHale, I hear JVG talk the same way. You see JVG disciple Thibodeau run the Bulls into the ground.

These guys need breaks, maybe even a game or two off. You see Pop do it. It's not a bad thing. Doesn't mean said player(s) are weak or whatever.

Game off? These guys are 23, 24, 25, 26 years old, in the prime of their [basketball] career! They can rest later! Ha.

Especially in an organization with err...Yao's history. When it comes to pride or injuries...the choice shouldn't even be one you have to think about. That was my biggest relief when we got Brewer...i just feel we are going to run Harden to the ground with the way he has to carry the load.

One thing that pisses me off about d12 is the fact that he admits these things. I remember last year in the playoffs when he went off on lopez scoring like 20 points in the first quarter or whatever it was, he was mic'd up and bent over next to lopez and start telling lin, i think, that he was tired from all that activity. Surely he was tired but as a competitor, you dont let the opposition know. He just comes off as air-headed and clueless sometimes. I would want to punish the hell out of lopez and let him know that he was going to the whole game with no let up.

Exactly, and they haven't been injured.

I'm all for keeping the minutes down. But, our injury problems this year had nothing to do with fatigue.

McHale said lastnight that he is planning to expand the rotation now that we have some healthy bodies.

The Rockets' depth is looking better now. Maybe the starters can rotate taking a game off every now and then against lesser competition.

Howard has had 2 strains and they don't seem related to any one play in particular.

Harden had back spasms and hamstring strain.

Ariza has had a calf strain for just under a week.

Beverley had repeated hamdstring issues. That one probably doesn't fit, now that I think about it, but he has been playing a ton of minutes since he came back, so it's something related to Dwight's comments (about coming out of games).

So "several" wasn't the right word, but it's defnitely been an issue for the majority of our starters.

Dwight always communicates in well-spoken blurbs. :p

Lowering Harden's minutes is essential, even if it costs us home court advantage ,and that's why I'm so thrilled about the recent moves.

This year especially I care about match-ups in the WC, and think HCA is almost meaningless. Assuming health, every team is going to have a tough opponent.
