My initial thought when I came to this thread was that Harden has the potential to have the longevity that Hakeem had and T-Mac and Yao unfortunately didn't. He's relatively compact but immensely strong, so he should be able to to take fewer injuries. Poor Yao did amazing work but in the end was a victim of his own impractical body. In the same vein, I think Durant will also show more injuries as his career goes on, since he's thin and really tall. Harden just seems like he'll be able to keep on trucking, so with a few more years, I think I'll he'll have accumulated the accomplishments to where the OP's statement is undeniable. He's on the road to MVP this year. Could possibly win the scoring title, though I wouldn't want to see that at the expense of a more balanced effective game. It would probably be like washing their faces with steel wool and acid for them to give it to him, but if he could extract a position on one of the three All-Defense teams this year, that would be an even more impressive feat than the scoring title, in my eyes. He continues the way he's going this year, and I don't think playoff success or failure even needs to be part of the equation.
He is really getting close. He will probably pass McGrady this year on the all time greatest Rockets.
Harden is my 2nd favorite Rocket of all time(behind Hakeem) BUT I do worry about his long term health. Until this year, he has looked a little soft - like he might not have the work ethic in the gym. Hopefully he keeps it up because he has looked physically like he is more solid this year. My other concern with him though is a few photos I saw of Harden's feet and they looked funky - like borderline deformed or something. People with funky feet who are built a little top heavy won't fare well in the NBA. The only consolation is James' game has never predicated on elite athleticism.
you guys are haters. give me a break. harden is much better and is getting closer. but paleez. TMAC hands down. its not even a debate. i think you guys forgot how good he was. you're thinking of the broken down version who quit on his team. even then he did things harden could never do.
gah I wanted Harden to go for 50. Why do we have to always be blowing teams out when he has a big scoring night!
dont worry, we going do good this year in the playoff, why harden is not the same harden, and our bench is much deeper than last year.
Bonzi Wells. Duh. But in all seriousness. Yao has to be it. Dude's turn around jumpers are money every time. Unstoppable. Game 1 Portland when he shot 100%? Game 1 IN LA when he dominated even after he hurt his knee?
We got peak McGrady newbs. What you think tmac would score 50 when yao and running the jvg offense? Must have never seen that era. Harden is the man
but but what if steven adams and morey had a little lamb become passable nba players? at that point you really gotta reevaluate the deal. LOOOOOOOOLLLLL
